incorrect. I was in the stands in 2007 when the song first started to be played. It energized the students and the entire stadium and not a word was sung except "Ooohhh oooohhh oooohhhh"
I am not saying that the students can't say the dirty words, just pointing out that the point of that song and the effectiveness of that song is not related to being offensive. That was something added later.

in 2007, I was at the Auburn game where Byrd made "the catch". After his catch was the first time the entire stadium started doing the hand bounce thing and it was the most electric thing ever. All the words did was stop the entire stadium from enjoying the song and get it banned.

At the Kentucky SR Game 2, I witnessed an LSU try to start a fight with a Kentucky fan solely because that small group of fans cheered when they went up 1-0 early in that game.
This guy wasn't drinking, but he was angry all game over this and followed the fans towards the exit after the game to pick a fight.
We have an absurd number of just trash fans.

All fan bases do, but we also invite opposing fans into tail gates and give them food an beer. A lot of other fans love coming to LSU because of the great atmosphere and amazing fans. There are just some fans and actions that give the Tiger Nation a bad rap.

I live in the New Orleans area and won't go see the baseball team when they come here to play UNO or Tulane because the local fans are the absolute worst. Its completely different from the fans at games in BR.

So funny to read all these people acting like LSU would suddenly be the next Cambridge with the fans having tea and crumpets in the stands if only those unruly students would straighten up and mind their manners.
Bring back neck and STTDB. Hype up the crowd as much as possible. Make Death Valley the most feared place to play in all of college football. If you don’t want your 2 year old to hear bad words, leave him at home or put some ear protectors on him. Or sell your tickets to someone who doesn’t leave at halftime to beat the traffic and put junior to bed.
