I turned that off at half-time. The OL is awful, I can't believe they seem just as bad as they were last year.
Joe seems to have taken a step backwards but I'm sure a lot of it is the OL. Ball needs to get out faster, but yes having Chase in there at least opens up other things.

He got rid of the ball faster (through 3 quarters) than any other day of his nfl career. That was the problem. Joe had zero time to throw, or if he had a little bit of time he was so affected by the other times his OL was so porous he dumped the ball off very quickly.
There was almost no time for receivers to get open downfield. The ball was out of Joe’s hands in almost 2.0 seconds. Cleveland defenders only had to cover 15 yards.

And then insinuate 2 years later that Burrow can’t win without Chase

The lineman is fine. But Detroit has still won like 10% of their games with him.

Burrow's release time is not even close to being the problem. He has the 3rd fastest release time according to Aikman. The only passes he could throw were the dump offs due to no time to go deep, the Browns saw that & were sitting on those routes. Now........that Bengals' defense is a whole other matter. The Browns are from an offensive juggernut & they rang up 30+.
