just another daily female test to judge your validity as the husband
should have started the groundwork for this a week ago, and she knew the time you think a 330pm Santa workshop dealio was a coincidence ?

Best post in this thread.

Your lack of prep is the reason you are in this situation.

GTFO with this shite. That's fricking selfish. THere are probably 50 fricking Christmas festivals and tree lightings in his area between now and Christmas. There's one SECCG per year, and we've only been getting in once every few years.

How unfair can your wife be? you are asking for 3 hours for a game. She has 22 more days for Christmas. Where is her concern for your likes and desires as a man. This is nothing more than an attempt by her to see what she can get away with, who's really in charge. I hope you turn her down in a polite and sincere way.

On the bright side, it should be a blow out.

Or you could drink some cooking oil and milk and make something happen to stay home.

Watch the kids on video instead.

They should learn early that xmas comes once a year, LSU in the SECCG is once every two years!

I just have a hard time believing that people really think that watching a football game, even if it is the seccg, is more important than spending time with your family.

Way to paint that one with a broad brush. So when is it okay to not spend time with one's family?

ETA: I'm assuming since you can't break away for a 4 hour event that comes once a year, you must literally spend all of your time with yours.

Father of the year, I bet.

If his kids don't want to watch the game too, then he has already failed as a father.
