That was after freshman season. coach wanted me to go play summer ball in the north woods(very strenuous league) and I had muscular problems in my arm + nagging back problems that needed medical attention. My academic advisor/trainer mention to me that it may be best to get treatment and take Econ + another class during the summer so i could focus on it and make it easier for myself( I dropped the class during the season and ended up dropping it during the middle of the summer and switched majors). I played in a Nola college leauge

How cool was that Nicholls State game back in March 2019 when you hit that double to tie the game in the 9th inning?

Coach nor I was happy at the time that I had to go in. Before the game, coach gave me the night off(& told me told me to not even swing a bat before the game) cuz I was dealing with an forearm injury that restricted me from swinging/throwing. I didn’t have my cleats on or my helmet/bat in the dugout for the entire game till I had a gut feeling something was going to happen. Next thing you know, he came to me and asked me if I thought I could hit. I said I guess so. Had a good at bat, felt In Control and got a good piece. Locker room was lit after but we shouldn’t have been in that situation. Damn mid week games lol

Look I have pointed out things that may shine a good light on me but there were some things I did my freshman year that I look back on and say why did you do that...1. I got into a car with an intoxicated person and then it flipped a couple times( I had very minor injuries). I showed up to practice one day with a semi washed off “X” bar stamp on my hand that Cannizaro told coach about. Coach went on to think I went out every night of the week. And I wasn’t necessarily the hardest worker yet I still outplayed anyone that was competition(this one pissed PM off so much). We all have our faults but I learned/got better each year and PM acknowledged that.

ETA: I must add that I believe sophomore slumps are real as I had one myself.
