Am I missing something with him? I understand TDP has looked great but I don't remember seeing Curry at all this year, I think CEH declares after this year, would hate to see Curry leave also because we could be down to just 2 backs next year

Unfortunately I think Curry has just been passed up on the depth chart. I wouldn't mind seeing him on some short yardage plays but it looks like TDP has those locked down (rightly so). Curry is a good back but I don't think he's more talented than the 3 in front of him. I've said before that I'm worried Curry will transfer but we will see.

He posted something on Twitter awhile back that basically everyone in his signing class had already transferred out.

I have expressed concern about this. If we dont take a RB this year and by some chance CEH leaves, we will def need him. I hope he is a team player. The little he has played he runs hard and is tough.

Curry hasn't had as much of an impact as TDP, no doubt. He hasn't really been given that much quality PT, which means he likely struggles in practice too.

I wouldn't be surprised if he transfers, but I'd rather him stay since we aren't getting a RB worth a shite this recruiting class.

CEH is 5’8” and doesn’t have break away speed

I like Him a lot but both will hurt his chances in the next level.

I dont see him being a leave early type even with a good year like he is having

Probably will transfer. You can't expect him to sit the bench at LSU his entire career.

Did I miss something in the Evans recruitment?

Clyde ran a 4.47 in 2016 at the Nike opening. Watched him at catholic. He has plenty of speed.

Watched him in college any?

How many 4.47 runners you see routinely get dragged down from behind?

Or maybe 40 is exactly his bag. Gets up to top speed really quick, but other people catch up on a longer field.

Other than him dipping out on unofficial visits?

He's a drama queen and I just don't see us dealing with that. We need players who WANT to be Tigers.

I wonder what the deal is with Curry every game.

This is it. Would he have a bigger impact if he got more touches? That's gotta be at least a possibility. He's done well in the very limited time he's had this year. At one point earlier in the season, he was second behind CEH in average ypc. There must be something the coaches see in practice that is keeping him from getting more playing time. I hope he stays and has a chance to breakout, but if he decides to go and start somewhere else after this year, I'm not going to to knock him for it.

Curry was never really expected to contribute unless we had serious injury problems. He was a desperation take.

He was caught by a safety who was already 30 yards downfield. Same game he also outran two DB’s to the corner of end zone.

Clyde isn't slow, but I've seen breakaway speed at LSU before, and Clyde does not have it... Thats okay, he makes up for it by being one of the most elusive runners I have ever seen in tight spaces.

Davis-Price is just better, plain and simple. If there are any snaps to be had after Clyde and TDP then they have to give them to Emory. Curry is a good back, we just happen to possibly have a couple great ones in front of him.

Agree, He will be back for his senior season.
Probably a 4th -to 7th round pick this year.

NFL will know his name next year.

Exactly, I'm not sure why the downvotes, what you said is exactly what I was getting at

The reason I say that is because of A) RBs short shelf lives in the NFL B) the fact that TDP and Emery will be So's and A lot harder to keep off the field next year

If you’re getting tackled from behind, you by definition don’t have break away speed

CEH has amazon acceleration and that’s why he is so good. He’s also not SLOW but any sense of the word

But he’s gotten run down on kickoffs, and multiple long runs. People with break away speed don’t get tackled when there is no one between them and the end zone.
