Dude was lights out. Was a great player at Sulphur and signed with Minnesota . Did he have an offer from LSU? I figured if he didn't Trent Johnson was the coach.

If that was #2 for USM, he was pretty good.

Idk. But it was one game. Dude averages like 11 points a game. Would be good for depth I guess

Dude was a beast at Sulfur. Saw him in a playoff loss vs St. Aug.

I played at SHS and He was a grade above me! I remember coach JJ coming to scout him and look at Matt Lebato as well. I'm not sure if they had offers but Chip was definitely looked at!

Didn't he play football (WR) his senior year as well? He was probably the best player at Sulphur since Martin Zeno (anyone remember Zeno vs DJ Augustine in the playoffs?)

Never knew they played against each other. I knew Zeno played for crazy chair throwing Bobby Knight. First guy to slap his players lmao.

Yes he only played football his senior year, his dad was concerned about him getting hurt on fb field and bb coach didn't like his players also playing fb Texas A&M was very interested in him for fb, had he played sev years of fb and gone to camps he would have been a major D1 wr. I don't think he was ever offered by LSU for bb but he was also a late qualifier. If I remember correctly he wasn't academically qualifies until grades came out at end of school year so that also hurt his offer list. Armelin and Zeno were both great all around athletes. If Martin had ever set foot on the fb field he could have gone anywhere in the country.

Chip is number 13.
Chip and Zeno are actually cousins.
The Tors Basketball squad was in attendance as well.

Was a man in section behind goal with a shirt on that said "Nephew vs Nephew" on front and on back it said "Gray and Amerlin".

Is Chip related to the Armelin who was supposed to come to LSU to play DT, but decided to be a rapper?
