Yep, truer words were never spoken. For those who followed the Big 12, formerly the SWC essentially, Texas has always thrown around their weight. In fact, they left the conference when the other schools there wouldn't bow down to their will. Remember that utter fiasco the "Longhorn Network". ESPN signed a ridiculous 10 year contract with Texas where the university was ridiculously overpaid for showing volleyball games, some football games not that important, etc. Texas has always tried to run the show and getting rid of LSU would be one rival they wouldn't have to worry about.
