you must not watch the NBA because players like Rudy gobert still dominate. you should have said becoming obsolete not obsolete then you wouldn't have pedantic pricks correct you

Which is still wrong

maybe so but I am paraphrasing will wade who I learned this from. he says modern basketball is evolving to positionless where men of all sizes have to be able to shoot to space the floor for drives and matchup exploits on defensive switches

maybe you don't think wade is a smart guy

And Wade had Emmitt here and Shumate at McNeese.

Nah, we were running an 8 deep of Cam Thomas's every year. Pay attention.

cam Thomas is not really a modern all position player because he doesn't play defense. a better ideal for this model is Eason

cam Thomas is a one dimensional volume scorer. I kinda think wade didn't think he contributed much but he was a great recruiting tool for guys who want the green light

correct, the game is evolving, those guys are becoming less useful.

its still ok to have one of them in the game. but you really cant have two because then you cant really draw the defense to both corner baselines.

chest for example would stand in the corner and his defender would leave him and go stop cam Carter's path to the hoop.

mwani Wilkinson is a good example of a less limited athlete that actually does make corner triples. unfortunately neither mwani nor chest can really create shots for themselves.

modern players need to be able to either create shots for themselves or be a 3 and D guy like Darius days and Garret temple. chest was neither, and shumate is neither. those guys are limited.

shumate was incredibly exciting, but there is a reason he was at mcneese and not Florida.

I agree with everyone’s basement of miller and chest but what gets me is they are still freshman. People talk about their flaws which are basically all due to wild inconsistency, another year makes a big difference, game slows down, in some cases people work on shooting all off season and develop one. To me, chest looked like he was playing in a freshman body, adding g strength and weight would help him not get pushed around on defense.at worst he’s high energy role player, which every team needs, if it takes all five guys being scorers we are fricked anyway lol

MacHallman could lose everyone BUT the Millers and Chest. Vyc Miller will be a very very good player somewhere , and we will be saying if only.

You know what bothers me, and it’s not just in basketball, it’s every sport at lsu, when we lose a play, or he de-commits, or just simply walks away from the university, all of a sudden everyone starts saying, aw he sucks, we didn’t need him anyway, followed by he was lazy, or had a bad attitude, when there is no way in hell they could know this. Even if it was said by someone in the coaching staff, they are most likely just protecting themselves or the university anyway.I wish we kept miller and chest, but I do wish them luck wherever they go
