CBS and NBC bashing the Miles haters (even while acknowledging Miles' little, er quirks). What's going on here?

IF Michigan calls, Les will answer this time and LSU no pay.

Wouldnt you leave if you were Les as shitty as we treat him. I would be coaching my arse of so that at the end of the year I do get a good offer and can laugh all the way to the bank!

People face the facts, LSU is not a fun place to coach with the fans (like you and me) always on the coaches arse. We did the same thing to Nicky poo when Booty threw the interception against UAB back in 1999 or 2000. Luckily, he redeemed himself quickly.

Would Dooley at La Tech, be a good fit at LSU? (Posted on 1/2/10 at 6:27 p.m.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He is the HC at a mid. level school. He had 7 Years under Saban. His Dad is Vence who was at GA for many years, Point being he seems to have the background.

Yep. check out the 1-2-10 post. I asked that question six months ago. But I think he has a bad situation at Tenn. and it is going to be hard for him make it.

"Then check Les' contract. It has a guaranteed rollover for 100 percent of the remaining salary. If Miles is axed at the end of this season, LSU would owe him between $14-$15 million. Alleva still has a ways to go to make that number manageable. That rollover, which wasn't renewed the past two seasons, would still have four years to run after this season."

this is just wrong. way too high

it's more like $8M after this year

i believe he has 2011 and 2012 left, at $3.5-$4M per. that's all we owe

You do understand that Tech has the smallest athletic budget and some of the worst facilities in the WAC? DD recruited very well at Tech, and has the program headed in the right direction.
By your criteria,John Curtis is deserving of any coaching job he wants because he wins with superior advantages over most schools he plays.
Speaking of Les and Okie State, his teams defeated much more talented OU teams twice. Did you ever visit OSU before the recent upgrades?
Who has Saban,Butch Davis or Pete Carroll ever beaten twice when they were playing with much less talent.
College football is not an even playing field like the NFL tries to be thus Saban's return to Bama.

Good Point. DD would have been a nice hire for LSU.
