There was a guy on the SECRant that said he knew for a fact that Sam was coming back. Take that for what it is worth.

I think Ware and Ford both go pro. I can't believe they will split time again with less for each. Blue will be back and Hill emerging as the starter, no future, go make a little money and get started with a career. Many teams had injuries this year, they could play, be 3rd string easy.

I think a lot of people are discounting the chance that Wing and Copeland might also leave after this year.

The rookie minimum pay for the NFL is somewhere north of a quarter million bucks. If a guy has enough talent to play in the NFL, which Wing and Copeland both certainly do, playing another year of CFB and risking injury, doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

If you are good enough, you will make the team even if you are an undrafted FA and start your professional career. If you aren't good enough, school will always be there to finish at your leisure.

Positions like FB and punter are never going to be high draft picks anyway.

I don't think Ford goes. But, Ware has shown that he can a pro back because of his power running game and pass blocking.

Someone will pick him up in the early 3rd round imo.

Really? His carries are getting fewer and fewer, and doesn't he have incredible measurables? I figured he could wow some people at the combine.

He is the right size for a LB in the NFL, at 6'2" and 242 lbs.

Hell no!! Minter is closer to 6 foot and about 235.

ETA: If these two sources (Tigerbait and ESPN) are correct, then Minter is the exact same size and weight as Patrick Willis.

Minter isn't 6'2, unless he grew two inches

I'm just going with what ESPN and TigerBait have.

This is another link, this time from LSUsports.net

I guess three sources are incorrect and everyone on TigerRant was there in the locker room when he was measured?

ETA: I apologize for being impolite. It has been one of those days.

Minter would improve greatly if he came back for one more season. I'm thinking he could bring his game to Hightower stats if he does.

The only thing minter should come back for is because next yr is probably a weaker LB class.

Statistically, he can't get much better next year

what do you disagree with?

Reid is a good player, but he's probably a mid 2nd rd pick at this point based on his production.

A lights out combine would vault him into the 1st. But who knows how that will go

strong safeties generally are not picked high. Especially underclassmen

he'll look and see how guys like Laron Landry and Mark Barron came back for their SR years and improved their draft stock immensely
