WTH is with all of this 4-3 crap all of a sudden. I realize Aranda has left, but he ran a 3-4 base and recruiting has been based on that for three years now. How about waiting til the new DC is in place and we let him have a little input....

No he wasn't. Chaisson was always gone. The NFL is seeing what I saw, a dominant NFL starter. He was underrated by LSU fans all year. Also, a 4-3 DE is not what Chaisson is. He's a 3-4 OLB who can also be a hybrid DE.

This is false. Aranda ran a lot of 4-3 as well as 3-4.

His BASE d is 3-4. Yes, he uses a 4-3 at times, as well as other formations as needed

That must have changed recently. Seems a few years ago, it was 3-4. I would prefer to stay 3-4. It is harder to find 4 really good DL, easier to find LB's or convert larger safeties to Weak OLB.
