Anybody hear anything about this kid having grade issues? I thought that's basically why he didn't play baseball this season, but I heard some office-talk today amongst my other hard-core LSU buddies that there's a possibility that he's still in trouble grade-wise and could possibly miss this season. The fact that he sat out the baseball season makes me kind of think there may be some truth to this. Anyone know anything? Not trying to start a rumor, hoping really to squash one. Huge bummer if true...

You "squash" a rumor when you provide info to refute a rumor that is already out there. You, my friend, have just started a rumor.

from everyone i talked to he sat out baseball season bc he wanted to concentrate on football/conditioning

He played baseball early on, but just really badly.

cool...i'd heard it was to focus on acedemics. not necessarily b/c he was failing though as it didn't seem to come across as a big deal.

I really do think it would be a good opportunity for him. Taylor--graduates after this year, Coleman and McCray will be seniors, that leaves Stefoin Francois as a RS SO and Jones as a true JR

doubtful. 1) that makes no sense, and 2) wasn't it reported that he dropped a class and wasn't taking enough hours to qualify to play? That's technically no a "grade" issue, but you usually don't drop classes unless you're failing them, so...

Chad Jones needs to be on the field. I'm not worried about losing to Appy State, but the one weapon they have is Armanti Edwards, their quarterback. If he breaks contain, he's a pretty dangerous runner.
I'd love it if the Co-defensive coordinators just tell Chad to "go wherever that skinny QB goes." Chad can keep up with him. LBs can't.
We won't need any extra men in coverage. Just let Chad be his shadow for the day and make his life miserable for a few hours.
