They are two of the only players in the COUNTRY, not just at LSU.
don't want to rain on your parade, but usc had a player in the 70's win a baseball and football national title. that's all. everything else is ok

I meant that statement as, "there are very few in the entire country...and they are two of them"
Sorry for maybe the misunderstanding. I was assuming that it had occurred prior to JM and CJ, but didn't know any hard facts on it.

Marquise Hill, Michael Clayton, Marcus Spears, etc. are all better recruits because without them, LSU is not nearly as relevant now.

Whitten... not only was he one of the best punters in LSU history he was decent at baseball.

Has Chad Jones changed the course of a program? No. Did they? Yes.
You don't have to be a two sport star to be a better recruit.

not even close. witten was never even the starting punter. he was the pooch punter. he was a much more valuable baseball player than football player as he was a starter for the 2000 championship team

Trindon just ran a personal best 9.98
when was this? I thought he ran 10 flat at the championships?

good point... Chad still has had impact on two programs. He is also showing other kids that the baseball and football coach will work together so you can be an effective two sport star
