That's not official by any stretch. They don't pick more than 2 weeks or so in to the season.

no...reported by nola.com, TP (and others) last week

The LSU football team will play on CBS-TV at least four times this season, including a prime time matchup at Florida, according to the CBS schedule released Friday.

LSU and the Gators will kickoff at 7 p.m. CDT in Gainesville on Oct. 11. The Tigers will play at South Carolina and at home against Georgia the next two weeks, respectively, with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff each day. LSU was already scheduled to play Arkansas in Little Rock Nov. 28 at 1 :30 p.m.

CBS can choose either LSU-Alabama or Georgia at Kentucky for the 2:30 game Nov. 8 and the LSU-Ole Miss game may also be picked up by the network.

CBS is insane for only playing one primetime SEC game a year.

Good point but in the case of the UGA at LSU game i think their would be high ratings for that one at primetime considering it is likely to be between two top 10 teams.

especially seeing how the game last 4 plus hrs. the last time we played them. Anything under 4 hrs. with CBS is impossible, only because of their plethora of commercials

that article's inaccurate. LSUSports.net has already refuted it. The only game that been officially picked up by CBS is the Arkansas game.

I think that is part of the contract with the SEC..

other than the normal 2:30 CST timeslot...

One 7:00p.m game
One 11:00 a.m. game
one day after thanksgiving game
and SECCG

Well don't get your hopes up too much because that being said, I do expect that the UGA will get picked up by them. I just wanted to point out that it is unofficial. The only other big game that weekend is Tenn-Bama and if LSU and UGA take care of business, I'd think we'd be CBS's choice. Also, Bama-LSU has essentially no competition and throw in the Saban angle, I think it's inevitably going to be picked up by CBS as well. Question is, will they do a 4 pm start like they did at Bama last year?
