CBS ranks all 40 CFP teams - Untouchable. Perhaps the only word that describes 2019 LSU

Playoff teams so far with expanded field following 2024 season.
Not all College Football Playoff participants have been created equal over the years.
1. 2019 LSU
Result: Beat Clemson in CFP National Championship, 42-25 -- Untouchable. That's perhaps the only word that describe 2019 LSU, which played with a level of flash and firepower on offense that might not be replicated anytime soon. While the roster featured seven future first-round draft picks, quarterback Joe Burrow was the center of the team's identity. Burrow ended the season passing for 5,671 yards and an FBS single-season record 60 touchdowns as he ran away with the Heisman Trophy, solidifying his place among the sport's all-time greats. If any CFP team from the four-team era had true "superteam" vibes, these Tigers.

2019 LSU was good at football.

The most remarkable thing about this was the fact that Ed frickin Orgeron put this together. Yes, I know his assistants made him, but damn.
15-0. No begging needed for a mulligan, a "quality loss" or an "eye test" excuse. No officiating help needed or lobbying from ESPN. Just straight up kicked everyone's arse and moved on to the next big game.
CFB, as a sport, is beyond fricked. As an LSU fan/alum, we can just sit back and watch this abomination knowing we had the GOAT team. No one else will come close.

Some might even say, any writer not able to recognize just how "Very good" 2019 LSU was at football, is "Very bad" at journalism.

When looking back trying to figure out which team in college football is the GOAT people over look the quarterbacks that the 2019 LSU defense had to play against. Here is the list and tell me which college team played against more future starting NFL quarterbacks during their teams National Championship season.
List below:
LSU 2019 vs Quarterback
GASO's Justin Tomlin
UT's Sam Ehlinger
NWST's Shelton Eppler
Vandy's Riley Neal
Utah State's Jordan Love*
Florida's Kyle Trask
MSU's Garret Shrader
Auburn's Bo Nix
Bama's Tua Tagovailoa*
Ole Miss' John Plumlee
Arkansas' KJ Jefferson
aTm's Kellen Mond
Georgia's Jake Fromm
Oklahoma's Jalen Hurts*
Clemson's Trevor Lawrence*
I see four with maybe Bo Nix one day making it to being a starter in the NFL bringing the number to Five. Nebraska and Miami defense never played against that many top quarterbacks during their season.

It’s not the subject, it’s the poster.

I never said otherwise. I even stated that it has nothing to do with the subject of the article. Like always, you missed the point and make it out to be something it’s not. I was answering the question that the other poster asked. A far cry from being “a troll.”
I wasn’t even talking to you.

And LSU faced the opposite, faced teams that were playing at a higher level than most, whether it was offensively, like Texas, Fla, Ole Miss, Ala, and OKLA, or defensively and offensively like Ga, Clemson, Aub, Ala and Fla which had both.

Living in Georgia, it was fun being at the SEC Championship and the Peach Bowl that year. My favorite memory was my dad screaming at us to go for 2 so we could hit 50 at halftime. We didn't, but still had a great time.

2019 LSU by the end of the season could add more points to any of the guys they had prviously played except maybe Oklahoma.

Again, I wasn’t talking to you.
You’re the one who had an admin tell you you suck in one of you other “awesome” threads yesterday that got downvoted into oblivion and anchored.
I’m still waiting for you to show me one example where I’m “trolling.”
Now go read some more articles about LSU that you’ll plagiarize later since that’s what you do.
