If you stay on I-10 east, it comes to Perdido/Pensacola just a few more miles down the road.

Thanks. That's what I try to tell my wife. I would rather spend my hard earned money in the state of Florida than give it to anyone in Alabama. Hell, I'll fill the tank up in Mississippi just so I don't have to spend a dime in Alabama.

We will lose some DB's over the next couple of years, but there's a lot of young talent waiting in line. If he's just not very good, he's likely to be 2nd string at Bama too.

He was not second string at LSU, more like third, fourth or worse. It was, from all appearances, a speed issue. Also, his father has been personae non gratae in Mobile since bad mouthing Saban. This could be away of calming the waters for the family. The bigger issue is why Saban gets to carry, what is it now, 90+ scholarship athletes when everyone else has to live with 85?

If you are going to post here dont be a douche. If you want to talk smack go to sec rant this LSU side. FWIW I like this pick up and we have no depth at CB. We have an untested signee Dr Kirkpatrick, K Jackson who reminds me of an lsu FAVORITE hOOKFIN AND A 5'9 awesome returner playing cb in Arenas. BJ Scott may be able to lay the leather but he played wr last year. The last time he lined up at db was in HS(besides this spring).

It is curious... Why would Les let him sign with Bama?
Because he's not a threat. Good bye to him, if he wants to go to Bama then adios.

A fellow named Webster never player corner before Saban switched him either and that worked quite well. Saban has a knack for finding a players true position as many Tigers excelled when he switched them.

BJ Scott

Incredible athlete...needs time to adjust to the college game. Saban is a good teacher to learn under in the secondary.

I think that he will turn out ok.

Kirkpatrick is going to be a beast.

seems like he is going to run into the same problem at bama to many people in front of him..Should have gone to a smaller school if he really wanted playing time..

not sure i see Phelon beating out Robbie Green or that #1 ranked cornerback prospect they got a few months back or some other talented ones they got waiting in the wings....we'll see....this could come back to bite us in the arse in a few years......hope not

Robbie Green = physically slow
Alonzo Lawrence = mentally slow

From what I hear, neither is exactly setting the world on fire over in Tuscaloosa.

Nobody said that Green was "setting the world on fire" but reports are that he's doing quite well.

Soooo, I guess that about does it for the Mobile guys that wore LSU uniforms. Glad to see Mobile is Alabama country again.. Now, if ya'll would just find another beach to go to we can have Gulf Shores back like we like it again without purple shite on the f'in beach. If you stay on I-10 east, it comes to Perdido/Pensacola just a few more miles down the road. Great place, you'll love it there. Have fun recruiting in Texas. Or taking some loser from Dothan that we dont want, ole what's his name? By the way, you know you're in the land of the corndog when your school sells more baseball season tix than football. Good luck in, uh, Nebraska somewhere?

Per tidefans, last year's Bama team could beat the '72 Dolphins.
