Bush was given rent, his family received benefits, there was "institutional lack of control" at USC, with a head coach bailing, etc." Cecil made some comments, but I saw no evidence he actually solicited...he just ran his mouth some. CM didn't even have a car at Auburn.

Newton's father admitted to the violation, plus they had tapes of it. This wasn't just a he said, she said thing.

The fact is that Auburn rolled the dice that he'd remain eligible, and the NCAA instead of rightfully holding them accountable, let them off the hook.

The reality is that Cam Newton's case and the backlash to the NCAA is why they are now being harsher on EVERYONE! Newton and his dad knew what was going on, the NCAA knew it, and the fact remains that everyone but Auburn is now going to pay for it.

Really, it's pathetic what the NCAA has become and I've lost tons of respect for Emmert.

Emmert inherited the shitbox. I think he'll turn it around and/or abolish it completely

He was suspended by the NCAA and cleared 18 hours later...fact.

Not really. Auburn declared him ineligible, then asked for the NCAA to rule on Newton's eligibility. The NCAA ruled that based on the information they had to that date, Newton was still eligible. It was done extremely fast by NCAA standards. Now that's fact. Carry on

That's because his license was suspeneded ... no point in having a car if you can't drive it.

Maybe so, but he's been in charge through the Newton case as well as tOSU, and everything else over the past year. He's nothing different and keeping the pathetic status quo. Punish schools and players that make little mistakes, and let big offenders slide.
