lonnie, do you still blindly defend les miles? im not reading this whole thread
Why must our support of Les Miles be blind? Perhaps there is a greater understanding of what it takes to make a winning football coach that you don't share.
Here's what you irrational Miles haters have never been able to explain to me. Since Miles has been here, he has won more SEC games than anyone else. The most games in the toughest conference while playing the toughest schedule the whole time. (the only teams that has had to play both Fla and Bama EVERY year is us and Tenn...and we see how that has worked out for Tenn)
So, since wins and losses are everything in CFB these days and his record is best...how is he doing it?
According to you guys, he is a horrible offensive coach, horrible at game management, horrible at clock management, terrible at press conferences...and a bunch of other things I've heard him accused of being bad at.
So...how is he winning? How is this guy...this terrible, stupid guy...how is he winning so many games? If he is as bad at those things as you claim...he must be pretty good at some other things to be winning the games right?
Or are you one of those guys that say its all just recruiting and luck? Are you that clueless as to what it takes to succeed so highly at this level?
I think I personally understand what it is that Miles such a great coach, but you seem convinced that he is a BAD coach.
So go ahead, impress me with your football acumen and explain to me how such a clueless guy can outcoach all those other guys who are trying as hard as they can to win as many games as he has.

Defense dipshit
You think we win games because of his offensive coaching ability?

How can anyone argue with anything he said? Its about time someone starts calling Miles out. The media needs to crank up the pressure, especially if no one else is going to do it.

how is he winning?
The answer will be...he recruits good or he's lucky or he's living off what Nick started or La has such great HS talent anyone could be leading the SEC/BCS in wins with it or cause Chavis is here or cause he hires good help and on and on.
Thing is...who gives a flying flip why we have had an overall elite program for 8 yrs as long as we have one!
It's like winning the lottery and being more concerned bout how you picked the numbers than how much you won.
Give Miles whatever grade you want on his O, but if you going to grade the program since 05 you gotta give it an A when comparing it to other programs since 05.

Cauble was SPOT ON with his report...the defense has been carrying the offense for the last 4-5 years...when you're on the field 100 plays vs the offense 48 plays...that should speak for itself right there...I really don't feel we will ever win another NC with Miles at the helm...he will never be the true coach that Saban is...he's why Bama is a top program again...

Another talking head with not a clue about big time college football. You are not going to fool anybody at this level bottom line. This bs about fooling the other team is a myth, bottom line if you win the battle in the trenches anybody can call the plays. LSU's pass blocking vs. Clemson was really terrible to say the least, Clemson d line was beating LSU offensive line big time.

Yep. Plain old execution. Plain ole better blocking, better throwing and better catching. That is what makes good teams good...no matter what it says in your ranter primer.
Psh. Nobody is saying we need to turn our offense into Oregons, we just need to explore a little more creativity from the pro-set.

Huh? You know you can call plays to help out your struggling OL and play away from your weaknesses, right? Also the main point is not just about this game - this game was the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak with Cauble giving this editorial. It has been 5 YEARS of bad offense. Last year we were able to dominate the LOS in most games and it showed. However when the talent level is equal on the field, our scheme does nothing to get the defense on the wrong foot or have to make the tough reads. Our passing routes are too simplified and don't complement each other and our play calling in general is random.
