Brady needed to go, this changes nothing. We just severely botched the hire.
The calls for Johnny Jones should start getting much louder...
I truly thought Trent was even better then anyone we would get when we hired him. THen he had that good first season and I was sold on him. Funny how fast opinions can change. I agree, time to move on. I've always said the best way to go is hire a coach that is doing really well at a small school, like Butler. PRobably can't get him, but that is the direction we need to go in our search

I actually think that LSU could be an attractive job. We have history of packing the PMAC. We have been to a Final Four and won a couple of SEC titles in the last 6 years
I don't think you're realizing something here.
Even though we went to the Final Four in 06, that was 1 of just 5 NCAA Tournament trips in EIGHTEEN YEARS!
We have not really been having as much success as we had since the 1992-1993 season when we went on our 10th consecutive NCAA trip. I don't think there has been as much commitment to basketball as there should have been since then. Even though we recently had a new practice facility, almost every other SEC team has a relatively legit practice facility. Some SEC teams have better gyms
IMO, if this job that could be 'attractive' it is not looking like it right now, and the writing could very well be on the wall.

Not the right thread but nice job student section starting the winning team, losing team chant only up 3 with a minute to go in regulation.

LSU is just not a basketball school. Big Daddy Dale practically went house to house selling the program.
The PMAC is a dump comparatively speaking even after upgrades. It needs a major overhaul.
It's going to take big money and I'm not sure the TAF and current AD is willing to pony up.

Firing the last guy 18 months out the final four is one of the reasons this job was not that attractive the last time. We looked like fools to the bb people in this country firing JB with seven games left on the schedule, with his best player not playing a play the whole year. We would have gotten alot better coach had we fired JB at the end of the year, instead of during the season, that doesn't happen in college. I am not sure we shouldnt do it again, cause I got a feeling the worst is yet to come. We have not played a quality team yet and we are 3-3.

no one wants to come here. lsu is a complete dog when it comes to basketball....dale brown did a great job building a great program and did an even greater job of tearing his own program down before he left...when he ran out on the court to protect shaq, the AD should have known that he had lost his mind and that he needed to leave. instead, he was allowed to stay until the program completely fell apart ...the brady era that followed was pathetic

Joe Dean was never gonna fire Dale IMO.
He was gonna let him leave on his own.

Running out on the floor during the Tennessee game was probably the wrong thing to do but I'm not sure I wouldn't have done it too. That was a horrific display of basketball and sport by the Volunteers. They were not playing a game as much as trying to injure a superstar on purpose.
