do people think Billy Gonzalez will get the job done

What has this guy done to garner the praise he receives on here? Why would we want him as an OC?

i dont think this guy is worthy of being OC just yet, plus dont you remember what happened last time promoting from within happened?? Its pretty obvious Mullen and Strong were the key cogs in the UF wheel.

I'm pretty shocked his name was even thrown out there in this thread. the luster's come off ol' Billy G pretty quickly around here.

Steve Logan actually coached Rohan in NFL Europe, made him a star there, great hire, or are we looking for a spread look?

anyway, Logan has coached with Les before so there should be some familiarity (though that could go either way). he was brought to Tampa by Jagz, but now that he's gone, I could see Logan leaving. I'd think LSU OC would be a better gig than the Bucs' RB coach. crazy fans notwithstanding.

An OC with a pro-style system who has a history of good QB coaching sounds like a great hire to me. Plus, he's like the winninges coach in ECU history, so there's some history of success as head coach as well. He seems like an all-round solid hire.

We need someone who can instill offensive fundamentals as well. Before Chavis came, we had great athletes, but they were out of position and didn't have good fundamentals. In some ways, that's the problem with the offense along with gameplanning.

NO WAY MILES HIRES A GUY WHO HE CAN'T DICTATE THE GAME PLAN TO OR WHO DOESN'T HAVE A BIG 10 PHILOSOPHY. IN OTHER WORDS, MILES IS THE OC.

You're implying that Miles is the OC and has a Big 10 philosophy. Based off our current offense, he can't have a Big 10 offensive philosohpy and be calling the plays.

How many times did Woody Hayes run the QB-zone read?

Kevin Rogers. Current QB coach for Vikings. Former OC for 'Cuse when McNabb was there. Bears and Pack expressed interest last year but Vikes wouldn't grant an interview due to him being under contract.

He's familiar with getting a special athlete the ball as well (Harvin) so that would hopefully help increase Sheps role

GC may be fired, but don't expect a big hire to replace him, in my opinion. Head coaching position is on rocky grounds. It would be difficult to obtain a great prospect knowing he could be replaced by a potential new head coach in the near future. Furthermore, if the powers that be feel that Miles' days are numbered, don't expect the administration to offer a hefty or long term contract to a great coach. If they are looking for an exceptional head coaching hire in the future, they may want to keep their options open in case a great head coach demands to take his OC with him. A lot of things to consider - of course this is my uneducated thoughts on the subject.

i was thinking this as well.....logan would be good as well as the guy at Mizzo
