Can WR have team meeting earlier this year to ask JD to throw more?

Let's not wait for week 3-4 to have the trust me throw it player only meeting

the WR’s weren’t perfect either with how many drops we had

It’s way past time for that! JD is INCAPABLE of changing what he is. That discussion took place over the off season and spring/fall camps. The “change” promised has not occured because JD cannot do what he is incapable of!

Umm…did you see the fricking drops? If JD doesn’t trust his wr’s after last night, I’d say that’s mostly on them

I just need to keep reminding myself it was a ballgame until the BTJ drop and INT. JD can still win 10 games for this team, but Nussmeier is still the WR and OC friendly QB.
Much bigger passing threat. Yea he's not as fast as JD but JD really isn't that dynamic until he gets past the LOS. I'd be willing to say Nuss is better at navigating the pocket AND scrambling because he will still keep his eyes downfield and make throws, as seen in the SEC Championship game.

JD is far down the list of reasons why we lost (he’s one of our best players), but this board always falls in love with the backup QB.

How bout we lay most of the blame at the feet of BK and Denbrock? Didn’t they say more routes would be called where our receivers backs weren’t to the end zone when they catch the ball? Could have fooled me.

37 not enough? 22 att in 1st half, so don't say it was garbage time attempts.
Probably would've been close to 50 att if defense could get off the field.
I think WRs need to look in mirror before complaining about lack of targets.

What the f is he capable of then because last time I checked without him this game ain’t close ! He made throws! He made
Plays with his legs ! How about the defense get the F off the field in the second half! Stop blaming Jayden

The blame needs to go to the defense on the second half and the coaches not having them ready physically

And what would be the excuse for all those drops last night?
Posted on 9/5/23 at 12:54 am to thelawnwranglers
It’s not so much that he’s not throwing more….it’s that he has no touch on the ball….his best throw is a rope to the sideline…..he doesn’t lead his wr where he can catch it in stride….that’s the most high percentage pass for a touchdown….he can’t throw a fade route to save his life….

People aren’t talking about but I truly think we were shook by the crowd. Gotta be better mentally but it was a good test for us to have this right out the gate. We will do better at home and we will be better from this

They need to have a meeting with the jugs machine

Jayden is not the guy to take us to the next level, but at the same time he’s not the reason we couldn’t / didn’t win… it was just poor game planning overall. He’s a ball control QB and this was always going to be a firefight with our D. The thing is, we’ve all seen his potential against Florida and ole miss. The team/coaches didn’t open it up like we needed to win

I disagree. I think he was given opportunities to open it up, but he didn’t take them….
Remember when Nuss started opening up the offense against Ga…..we started scoring tds and the announcers were saying the Ga was embarrassed that LSU had scored 30 points on them…..

I disagree with your disagreement.
The reason we lost isn't solely on Daniels. I know some on here wants to put it on him but the entire team as a whole look completely unprepared and didn't play well.
It's obvious what FSU's gameplan was. Make Daniels beat them through the air.
You can't say "he didn't take them" when the receivers were dropping passes left and right.
He didn't play on defense.
He didn't continue to call plays that were too predictable.
It was a huge mess all around.
