Can we have a realistic determination of what gets Orgeron fired or extended after 2020?

What combination of results over the 2019 and 2020 season would warrant a long term extension?

What combination of results over 2019 and 2020 would warrant Orgeron being fired?

Lets leave out the politics of Alleva and everything. Set your baseline on how to judge Orgeron over the next two seasons so that goalposts cannot be moved.

I'll start

A combination on 10 regular season wins and a playoff appearance. That'll be enough for me.

If there is a combination of less than 10 wins and not making the playoffs, he needs to go. The program is not progressing at all and needs a boost.

Posing this in the Emery thread wasn't sufficient?

If he is allowed to coach through 2020, win the west or goodbye. That's 5 flipping years as hc.

I'd say winning the west isn't as important as it used to be. Making the playoffs should be the bar that is set

A National Championship.

Winning one would cause future expectations to match and Joe A cannot allow that.

How about you post what I asked so that you can't move the goalposts 2 years from now. Are you not confident in Orgeron enough to set a standard?

Just to clarify...if LSU goes 11–1, but loses to Bama and loses the west but still makes the playoffs and wins national title (beating bama along the way) O should be fired?

Likewise if LSU goes 9-3 with 2 OOC losses, wins west but loses SECCG and loses bowl game to finish 9-5 , then O is good?

No

No

The bar isn't to win the SEC. The bar is to make the playoffs for a shot at the championship. Anything after that and you're asking for a lot of things to go your way.

No he isn't. He's shown himself to be a total retard in the other thread. He's got three or four other retards that are right there with him.

Yes. Gus beat Bama just last year and is on the hot seat. Jimbo is expected to beat Bama as well and already beat us. Sumlin beat bama. Dabo beat bama. Freeze beat bama, twice. Smart should have won twice. Only people that seem to be ok with being Bamas biatch is LSU.

Win the west or change the coaching staff. This is essentially still a continuation of miles staff.
