Yes. But LSU must play a near perfect game & Bama will have to play its worst.

Really I know we have not played up to our potential but neither has Bama! All LSU has to do to win is score more than 14 pts and keep Richardson and Ingram under 100 yards.

Uhm... each or combined? I don't think it's possible to hold them to under 100 yards combined.

Both of them combined and it's possible just ask the South Carolina Defense!

we can beat bama. i, and probably the majority of fans will be somewhat surprised if we do. i bet on LSU because of the 6.5 spread and think we have a good chance of covering. but winning? we'll need our best game and some damn lucky breaks.

Key reason is they got ahead and made Alabama throw. If we are in a close game, we're done. Bama will wear us down. D-Line is smaller this year. You need to make them one dimensional.

we can beat bama but our offense is going to have to help the defense out a lot this game because bama is going to get plenty of first downs and try to control field position. If the defense is out there to long it might turn ugly late.
Also on defense your going to need to take chances against the run to get bama in 2nd and longs. We can not allow bama to get 4+ yards on first down consistently.

It sounds dirty and will result in a flag, but early in the game, I'd have one of our guys knock the hell out of Ingram Richardson, Jones, or McElroy. Hit him late or if he's going out of bounds just to let them know we aren't going to play soft.

Do it a several times. Sure Bama wont mind walking those extra 15 yards.

I think we have a great chance of beating Bama. Auburn won the game because they ran the ball 52 times and passed only 16 out of the spread, with a freak playing QB. I don't think Bama can be as effective running out of a more conventional formation. Bama will attempt to control the clock, using play action and attempting to have a balance of pass and run.
IF we can keep the TOP even, and work under center and run the ball, we should win. We are much more effective running under center and using play action versus working from the gun trying run out of the spread. It depends on the choices made by GC, which is a problem.
Our defense is more than capable to handle the offense of Bama, and their defense isn't as spectacular as they have been hyped.
Look for LSU to win by 7.........24 17

Well of course we can. Take a look at the last two meetings.

Alabama is in for their toughest game this season. Yeah- I said that.
