I know LSU played them hard but the score was 50-30. This upcoming season we return a lot. They do not. Is it possible for us to actually compete and (knock on wood) beat them?

I'd worry about winning the West first, before worrying about UGA. It is never easy and they're not on our schedule unless we get to Atlanta.

BK answered that exact question today. We are on the path.

UGA had some super wild/lucky plays in that game tbh. They were the better team no doubt but that score should’ve been a lot closer had it not been for the FG block going back for a TD and that wild INT they got.

We also had some bad breaks in that game, but unfortunately our lack of D line depth showed.

I took that as mostly coach speak and not giving any bulletin board material

We could’ve put up 40 on their famed defense. We can most definitely compete with them this season and most seasons.

I think it mostly depends on injuries & the DBs. If our 1st teams on OL & DL stay relatively healthy & the DBs play to their talent level, I do think we can.

They scored at will in the middle of the game and could have scored another 2 TDs if Kirby wanted. We scored a lot of our points when they were playing soft coverages and not blitzing. They were the better team by a lot.

We will have UGA buried in short order. Kirby can't hang with CBK.

Agreed that we could not have beaten them last year, but the OP is asking about this coming year.

I was at the game & their advantage in size and aggression was startling. Also, they could have thrown to their two monster tight ends every play & probably completed 95% & there was nothing we could have done to stop it.

That was then. I’m expecting a different result.

Sure. Missouri had them beat last season but didn't have the offense to sustain it.
Georgia has a new unproven QB. No one knows if he can run the offense. Their QB, the last two years, was a key to their success.
