You cant deny him that.
He's a great recruiter, but a terrible roster manager historically.
He's best when you have a couple big time, elite prospects and say "go get em". He's not great at seeing the whole picture and managing a roster.

I have thought about that exact thing when I here about a player de commiting from a school because they aren't getting the NIL deal they were promised. With Coach O, I would envision him over promising that numerous times every year.

The dude that was known for being an elite recruiter and has a well documented story of the lengths he went through to get Joe Burrow some crawfish and land him at LSU would have struggled in this era?
