let’s say Marshall is a first round talent, opting out won’t change that

This is what happened to Mitchell Robinson. He opted out basically in basketball, and slid 10 picks from where everyone thought he’d go. Now that’s 10 teams who maybe missed out on a stud if he breaks out this year.

Or it's 10 teams that recognized a red flag and passed on a future bust if he never breaks out. It could go either way.

Let's be creative. Perhaps the NCAA could grant an extra five scholarships each year to schools that keep a specified number of scholarship players for four years.
