Forget about Herman. Herman doesn't even matter at this point, and he's being used to deflect from the real issue here.

It's about the process to determine who should be HC at LSU. You look for people with similar attributes; intelligent, highly accomplished coordinators with innovative philosophies on football. If Herman's unavailable, ok, go look at the next person that possesses those qualities.

Going from Herman to Orgeron makes absolutely no sense if you're following a process for selection based on a set of attributes. The two have very little in common as far as to how they got where they are.

At the risk of sounding trite, it really looks as though Alleva has no idea what he's doing.
