In 2007 he was a boneheaded Rahim Alem penalty away from doing it. So I would say yes, it's possible, and I'm not his biggest fan.

you are thinking 2008 vs Arkansas?

LSU had 5 SEC losses that season.

I think he's talking about Tyson Jackson karate-chopping Andre Woodson in Overtime when we would have had them backed up.

I heard the coaches don't even show up at practice...it's just the players out there.

he is confusing Alem kicking the ball in 08 with Tyson Jackson's karate chops in 07. It'd be more accurate to say "He missed having a one loss season in 2007 because he was more worried about making sure his pet Jacob Hester didn't get the limelight taken away from him by Charles Scott against UK than actually winning the game."

My nickname for him is "Two Loss Les" until he shows us otherwise.

Meaning: That in his best season, we will still lose two games. I truly hope that I am proven wrong!

I think Miles is an average coach at best, but can we give these types of threads a rest. :beatdeadhorse:

Only Paul Dietsel has led LSU to an unbeaten season.

So you expect what? What team has to play the number 1 and 2 team in the nation every year? The SEC has the strongest conference in college football hands down. Watch for Florida and Alabama to lose a couple each year too. Watch what the SEC teams do in their bowl games. How many teams are bowling? 10. That is more teams than some have in their entire conference. LSU improved form last year. And wit recruiting going like it is, the players are lining up to keep LSU an elite program. The coaching situation will be mended and Les will be the man to do it. Have faith!

I highly doubt it. Seems like the team just gets by on sheer talent, which usually leads to 2-4 losses a season.

If you take Saban's 4 years average and compare with Miles 1st 4 years, Miles's average is better than Saban's.And both won NC's.Miles has the best 5 years record of any coach that has been at LSU.

Get over it. He's gone. He said "Screw you" to LSU and hauled butt. He ain't ever coming back. Ever, never ever. Get over it.

Not if they keep scheduling OOC opponents like they did this coming up year and then draw a permanent opponent in the east being Florida...

Its going to be tough to beat Alabama every year in the west simply because their permanent opponent is Tenn...what kind of shite is that? We could beat Bama and still not win the west because of a loss to Florida and someone else...

And you can almost guarantee LSU is going to get upset by someone every year, plus play powerhouses in Florida/Bama every year now...

I don't understand our logic in scheduling Big East opponents for next year...we don't need to. We win, we go to a NC just in conference play itself...

The SEC owns the Crystal ball in this decade and LSU has 2 of them. But that will never be enough for some people. With the recruits coming aboard and the talent already on board LSU will always be in the talk of a team with the potential to be the best, Can anyone knock him and his staff on the ability to recruit? Never mind, I already know the answer.

Looking at the big picture, last year we had one of the most horrible defenses in LSU history caused by Miles idiotic co-dc b.s. He could not fix the problem himself so he had to hire someone to do so. This year we had one of the worst offenses in the nation and Miles could not fix it. If Mile is such a great coach why does LSU for the second year in a row find itself in a hole and Miles is lost in space? We cannot blame Perilloux every year.
