We will probably see the wildcat more this year but I would think it will be spencer ware back there.

what a foolish line of thinking.

Well obviously you guys dont know that thats why Arkansas ran the wildcat so well in 07 was because of Casey dick.....

It's not really a gimmick play. The way LSU runs it is like that. But if you were to grasp the entire offense then LSU could run it very effectively with the power and speed on the team.
I'd run it with Ware/Shep at QB. Ford in the backfield. Ware/Shep at slot(whoever isn't QB). Put the slot in motion on every play. You'd have 3 running options right there for if the defense is over aggressive and doesn't stay home. And you have the threat for the slot and QB to throw.
Look at LSU vs Arky in 07. For a reference.. They used McFadden at QB, Hillis in backfield, and Jones in the slot. Had Monk as their main target as WR.

Mett does not run the wildcat.
While I applaud the reported fact that JJ is in the best shape of his life, I see a bigger upside with a real passer.
JJ has not proven he can hit an open man on a dependable basis.
I wish the best for JJ and he may start vs Oregon,
but in the years to come I hope that Mett ends up being premier and carrying LSU to the national championship.
We were lucky to get by UTk.

Watch the press conference again. JJ is Les's guy. He'll start win or lose.
Posted on 3/4/11 at 5:39 pm to lsu xman
all he does is not throw td passes and not complete easy passes..
all LSU does is Win
all LSU does is Win

JJ accounted for 4TD's in the Cotton.
the haters here will just have to stay miserable if JJ has a good game and LSU beats Oregon.

Why is there a need for the starting QB to be able to run the wildcat?
BULLETN:...THERE IS NO NEED ...for those that don't know shite...STICK WITH THE COACH'S,..LET THEM RUN THE SHOW....

find the nearest building at least 6 stories high, climb to the top, and jump
better yet, make it 10 stories....just to be on the safe side
