Landon Collins was taken first pick of the second round for reference.

Solid response Salmon. But Beck should really put up some numbers under the new DC. He's really fast too. It's going to depend on needs of NFL teams mostly. Adams needs to show better decision making. He gets fooled too easily. And yes, he's a little undersized.

You've only got one for sure first rounder there. The best chance after that, imo, is Pocic or Beck (but only one of the two and they would have to blow it up this year). I don't see the rest going in the first round. I don't even see Dupre and Adams declaring.

Adams needs to be a little more consistent. All of his INTs last year were gifts, that i remember. Id like to see him proactively make more plays. He certainly has 1st RD talent but i wouldnt call him a lock at this point

2. i think white and LF7 are pretty much locks

poccic has the best chance after them, but that comes with 2 big ifs

1. he plays LT
2. he plays LT really, really well

OL are just so valued these days, if he does those 2 things he should make it

beckwith is next, i agree. if aranda lets him loose he's going to blow the frick up next year. i wish we had some more ILB options b/c i'd love to see beck and key manning the rush LB spots

adams needs to increase production and decrease brain farts and run really well

dupre needs stats. his physical profile shouldn't be a worry

Godchaux could be a 1st RD pick

Lewis Neal, with a productive season and a good combine

It has Neal at pick #12 and godcheaux at pick #26. Lf is #3, Adams is #9, Dupre is #16, and pocic #20.

Just a mock I know...but throw in that white and beck not in first round on this mock...and it gives you 8 solid chances at first round....with dural and lacourte surely within top 3 barring injury.

I think it could easily happen.

Of course it could. Its so easy to have 6 first round draft picks.

Any way you slice it, 6 would tie the record set by Miami in the 2004 draft.

The draft is a crap shoot. Productive guys fall because they had a bad combine or they don't play a high demand position.

Draft order is based largely on team need, and certain positions are over/under valued. This leads to great running backs falling to later rounds, and OT's rising up.

So even assuming all of those guys have a great season, I still wouldn't expect more than 2-3 to go first round.

Was waiting on someone to mention Godchaux in this thread. He's got a good shot.

Reading this thread, it's hilarious I was catching downvotes a few weeks ago for saying next year's team would be loaded with All Americans.

If we only get 2 or 3 out of 8 then we have either had a rash of injuries, severe underachievement, or off the field issues. Here is hoping you are wrong. This is a special group of players...not just your typical good team, IMO.

Fournette - top 10 overall lock

Dupre - So far there aren't any WRs outside of maaaaybe JuJu Smith that would grade higher before or after the combine than Dupre or Dural. As a matter of fact, Dural is the highest or 2nd highest rated WR from 3 different sites when you take out all the early exits who declared this year

Pocic - Whether tackle or guard, he'll go in the first round

White - Will be 1st round

Beckwith - Depends on how many top LBs there are. He will definitely grade out well at 6'1 1/2 - 6'2 245 lbs running in the 4.6s

Adams - First round lock. Don't know too many that grade out higher than him at this time. Will grade out really well at the combine and will be 6'0-6'1 and 210-215lbs.

Realistically Fournette, Pocic, White, Adams, and Dupre first round with Beckwith and Dural fringe 1st rounders.

Don't underestimate the LSU talent.
