If we beat them it will be 28-17 or 28-21. 3 to point differential in a low scoring game.

No doubt. It will require our defense and JD5’s best game of the year. And even then we might fall short, but we are talented enough on our best day to win.

LSU matches up with UGA better than it does Tennessee. Our secondary is our weak spot and our DL is good at stopping the run without having to run blitz. And we can get after the QB on 3rd downs a lot better now than when we played Tennessee. We'll probably have to score mid-30s to win, however.

Defensively, I agree with you. UGA will take deep shots, but not nearly as often as UT. They put you under a lot more stress the way they stretch the field. As long as we don’t have injuries or let them wear us down, we should be able to hold up.

I am much more concerned about how our offense matches up against their defense. We’ve given up a lot of sacks this season, especially to Arkansas, UT and Bama. UGA’s DL is better than any of them. Their secondary is also a lot better than any of the above. It’s going to be a challenge to move the ball consistently.

LSU can absolutely beat them, but it’s going to take a near perfect game and UGA not playing their 100% best.

Numbers and comparisons are deceptive in games like this. If we play to the best of our abilities and they do too, that’s one thing. If either team is off? The opponent could win easily. if we play our best game and they are a little off? Winner, winner chicken dinner.

Yes - if UGA has an off day and we have an Alabama or OM type day.

Not understanding the downvotes, broke it down well. As another poster mentioned, LSU matches up better with Georgia over a Tennessee. I anticipate a close game, regardless of win or loss. Bennett can be shut down by Perkins, Ojulari, and company. House makes adjustments during the game, I think he can match well with Monken. There were also close games to Kentucky and Mizzou. It’s the SEC, it happens, regardless of ranking. It’ll be a close one for the Tigers, either way, but yes LSU can beat Georgia.

LSU can win, but it’s unlikely.

Kentucky had Georgia on the ropes last week.

Tells me you didn't actually watch the game w/o actually telling me that you didn't watch the game.

Georgia was never in danger of losing that game.

And what does that have to do w/this year?

Nobody does the transitive property better than LSU fans.

Missed FG from being 5 point game. I'd say that was uncomfortable

They were never in danger. Kirby played the game that way on purpose.

Yeah, I don't think so

But agree that it means nothing with this matchup.

We must stay focused in TX Sat and suffer no hocus-pocus in the 4th quarter in GA.
