You should get every other idiot that complains to understand this. Very rational post.

Are you implying Miles and Saban are on the same level?

Are you even APPROACHING that idea?

Because if so...

I never stated to run of les. Is lsu playing to its potential? No . Is lsu trending down? No way . This is par for the course with les and honestly I don't think there is a coach that can do much better here besides Saban . Odd response coming from someone who is trying to sneak in an argument that Miles is on the same level as Saban.

Just come out and say it.

Hallman beat Gene Stallings
Dinardo beat Spurrier
Some guy at ULM beat Saban
Houston Nutt beat Urban Meyer

It happens. I don't think head to head matchups is the best way to compare coaches. It's just one factor. NCs might be another factor...

50% of the time? I don't think so.

I don't know how many times ULM played Bama...that guy might have a 100% success rate.

What do you think? Sound off!!!

The way our defense is playing, hell no. Bama's defense is going to be the best defense we have played all year imo. I feel it is going to be better than UF's, so they will have answers for our offense. Will they be able to shut our offense down completely, I don't think so but they will be able to handle them. On defense we will not be able to stop their offense.

So the recipe is, playing an SEC away game with a defense that will be able to handle our offense and an offense that will put points on the board on our defense. That recipe is going to smell and taste like a loss!!!

LchnBox, that's a good point, but he hasn't beat him recently, i.e. last two matches, and although I certainly hope that we win this year, I'm not putting any money on it. But my point is this, to compare Les Miles with Nick Saban is delusional if you look at the whole body of work by both coaches. Miles took over an elite program and for the last two years we are no longer a top 10 team. Our recruiting has dropped off the last two years and we have a shocking number of players who left early for the draft which for most part has proven to be the wrong decision by them due to their lack of accomplishment in the pros. You don't see a trend?

2011 was sooooo long ago. (convenient you only went back to the mulligan)

Maybe if they didn't play each other every year, but since we have so much head to head data, I think it's very fair.

And if you say look at the rest of the games, then I say that makes Les look even better since he is apparently beat Saban with less talented teams.

Do I think Les is a better coach than Saban? Of course not. But the gap is not as far as some people here would like to think it is. The on field results speak for themselves.

He beat him the last time LSU went to Tuscaloosa in 2011.

We finished #6 in recruiting last year and are looking to make a strong push for a top 5 class this year.

The only trend is that your post has absolutely no valid points.

Why are you laughing about us no longer being a top 10 team?

What ranking did we end up with last year?

What's our ranking right now?

Yet he still finds a way to beat Saban. How could you legitimately argue with anything I just said?

2 years goes back to 10/24/2011. I believe we were in the top 10 every single week of the entire 2011 season, the entire offseason heading into 2012, in the top 10 the entire 2012 season until we lost the bowl game and then top 10 for most of this season until we lost to Ole Miss. So out of the last 2 years we have been outside of the top 10 for about 4 football weeks. But yeah, we are no longer a top 10 program.

I really wish you would die.
