Hey, I saw LA Tech vs. Boise and I think they did well to play them to 45-35. After their early play, esp. w/2 QBs, I was shocked they hung around for a long time against a more talented and healthier team.
Two years ago, they went for two and the win at the end vs. undefeated Hawaii(one of the most overrated BCS teams in history) & you got guys in the NFL.

If they let him call his own plays, he may have a shot.
Yeah, there's the answer to LSU's problems! Dude can't hit water if he fell out of a boat and now you want him calling plays, too? Spare me with impending comments that Shepard's always to blame every time Lee's looking around w/the play clock winding down, down, time out!

It doesn't freaking matter how many games we win!! All our wins are against teams NOT in the top 25
Is that our fault? How many of our losses are to teams in the top 25? The top 3?
If you remove us from the equation Florida has not beaten a single team in the Top 25. And Alabama has only beaten VT, if you think a 3-loss VT is a Top 25 team.
Why don't you focus your energy on something that is controllable?

Of course. Also, Tech is down to 2nd stringers because of a lot of injuries.

the reason the pass interference was waived off is because his pass was 5 yards out of bounds....he threw 6 passes out of bounds and was very inaccurate. The two passes he completed were against prevent defense. one of 3rd and 25

This is just wrong.

Well then, take it to that thread yourself. While you're at it, take YOUR loving opinions about Lee to the threads here that continue to unconditionally support him, (most of whom apparently have suppressed how they were really suffering right about this time last season, after enduring Lee's failures over and over).
The question was, "Can jarrett lee beat LA Tech?" Honestly, I'm not 100 percent certain he can. And when a Ranter, who believes he can do it, provided Lee could call the plays, I responded to it.
So, you didn't like my response, well, just deal. I don't care what you think. This thread also has people blaming RS for LSU's troubles to get plays off in time when Lee was in there vs. Ala. & others.
Look, I don't hate the guy. I just don't believe Lee can be an effective starting or No. 2 QB for LSU or anyone else in the SEC. And, I'd love for him to succeed and prove that I'm wrong about that assessment. Why? Because like most of us, I just want LSU to win, and if Lee, JJ, RS, CG or even B. Bailey can guide us to a "W," it makes no difference to me.
I will also concede that Lee inherited a really tough and challenging situation when he had to play last week (injuries to key players, penalties, missed & bad calls, etc.). But as Miles said yesterday at his weekly press conference, if you're a back-up and you're called to replace someone at your position, you're not out there to make sure your team has 11 players on the field, you're there to step up and do whatever it takes for the team to win.
I'm sure he's working hard to improve, and many of his teammates (who really have no choice) respect that work ethic and that he usually accepts responsibility after he can't get it done in the actual games. Some of the blame here falls on Miles and the coaches, since this is now Lee's third year in the program and it's just not working out. Lee was 4-4 last season as a starter, and has yet to establish himself since. You seem smart enough to know that LSU playing .500 football just ain't gonna fly.
While I realize that LA Tech doesn't match up with LSU at almost every position and that it has a very slight chance of upsetting LSU, they're good enough to make things interesting and if Lee plays poorly, you just never know.
Finally, LSU, w/JJ at QB, was doing pretty well (with Lee not much of a factor) before he got hurt in the 3rd qtr. last week. The team was 7-1 and 9th in the BCS, w/its only loss to No. 1 Florida. Prior to last Sat., Jefferson was 8-2 in his first 10 starts (including a bowl win over Ga. Tech).

Let's look at WHEN he is being brought in...
against Tulane...at the 1 yard line.
1)against Alabama...when Alabama knew it was all 2)about "passing" and they did not need to worry about the run.
You neglected to mention (gee, wonder why?) he was also brought in for a 1st-and-goal at the 1-yd. line, and managed to toss a 1-yd. TD to C. Scott.
