Can coaches agree to end a game?

With the Tigers rolling on all cylinders this early with so many reps for bench guys, I could see CJJ agreeing to end it early, if that’s a thing. Love to see them run it up, but I’d think CJJ wants to end it without injury.

Neither of these sentences go together. Why wouldn’t he want the bench guys to get more reps? In order to do that you need to keep playing - so you wouldn’t end it early.

It's a live scrimmage and CJJ gets to clear the bench and get a look at guys who don't usually play under game conditions. It isn't like VMI didn't know they were going to get their arse kicked when they agreed to the game.

I said it last year, LSU's bullpen suffered in the SEC because of so many early 7 inning games. That's 2 extra innings per game, with zero pressure on the pitcher. We had, what, about 10 games ended early? That would be 20 more innings pitched, by guys who could use the work.
