Amen to that. The douche bag went on a tirade about people trying to rush to be first instead getting accurate information before putting it out. And here he is talking about an upcoming commitment before it ever happens. Just “trying to be first”.

I agree it's terrible they screwed this up for the 20 to 40 of us that deeply care about the baseball transfer portal.
We had to spend all morning thinking we were getting the tall lanky kid with a change up. I wasted so much time thinking about 93 mph fastballs followed up by a 78 mph change up. I wasted a lot resources trying to figure out how he would fit into the bullpen.
I guess I will spend this afternoon watching clips of the Wofford ace we did pick up.

Once someone commits to LSU, our fans will find a reason to like him. If that same kid had committed to Ole Miss, this board would laugh at Ole Miss for taking a pitcher that we got 7 hits against in 4 innings. I wasn't excited about Wicker, but I trust Jay and Yeskie's ability to evaluate a player. So I figured if they like him, there is something they saw that they can work with.

Wicker? You need to go rewatch. His FB tops 91 and sits high 80s. He pitched primarily change ups 77-81 most of his 4 innings that game.

He was up to 93. Main thing is looking at that Kid. With that Build you give him a year in our S&C Program that Kid will put on 30+lbs on lean muscle and be in the Mid to Upper 90's easily. That is the build of a Future 1st Round Pick!

Wicker would be nice but Cowan was their ace for a reason. We got the better of the 2. Hopefully we can add Wicker though he has potential.
