I may be wrong but wasn't Drew about to get benched in San Diego when Cam was there? I also think at that time he had the lowest or second lowest passer rating in the AFC.

No, i am not, but I watch the practice films. You don't run read option from under center.
Also, if you can't tell we have been turtling on offense, since out QBs have shown they can't pass then you are blind.

yes and no.

Cam Cameron was in San diego for every year of Drew's career besides his rookie year.

So he was there for his bad 3rd year, but also there for his last two years which were pretty damn good.

Another things that people should remember when they bash cam, he was also the coach for LT's best years.

So i am willing to give him a bad year before shipping him off.

Not bashing anyone. I also read when he was fired from Baltimore Flacco's passer rating went up 30 points.

What we know about Cam is that...
1) he was a terrible head coach both at Indiana and Dolphins....he has made a ton of money just to go away
2) He cannot get along with some QBs. Flacco had Harbaugh fire him. Cam gave Harbaugh his first gig at Indiana..they paid him a wad just to leave...and then won Superbowl
3) Cam motivates by threat and intimidation not encouragement...zero patience...his doghouse is eternal
4) He is paid double what Lane Kiffin gets....compare results
5) He came here to run a pro offense. No screen passes, bubble screens, wheel routes or flat passes
6) He has run off more QB's than any coach in LSU history
7) LSU is last in offense in SEC west
8) His QB has the worst QB Rating in D1.
9) He is the highest paid offensive coordinator in NCAA

Cameron has literally been run off from every job He's ever had. Mett fell into his lap. Got his footwork fixed and voila. This offense is screwed up because the I needs a drop back passer to make it work. Kids in high school are never under the center anymore. Adapt or get run over.

I don't think miles/cam can... they run a very dated scheme. it works though when you have elite players running it (imagine that)

The sad thing is they're trying to run an offense that doesn't fit the QBs we have. Maybe Miles is so smart that he's developing a totally new offense never seen before!

Thats what is interesting to me.

Cam Leaves, Baltimore goes nuts, then they fall immediately to 29th in the NFL the next year, and canned Caldwell.

They have Gary Kubiak right now who is a great offensive guy, so they have straightened things out.

What i hear in Baltimore is that Cam Cameron is a control freak and Flacco wanted to take more control of the offense.

Which is one of the reason why i think it is crazy that people think Cam would come to LSU and let Les dictate what he does.

I can definitely see Cam turtling up the offense if the QBs can't do what he wants to do.

They won the Superbowl without him. Maybe he's a great coach. Please let him show me. I want to see it, please.

His PLAYOFF QBR was 30 points above his QBR during the entire regular season. This article didn't talk about his regular season QBR after Cam left. Also, they ran the ball more, thus resulting in Flacco having less attempts, and that can really hurt him or really help him depending on what happens in those fewer attempts. All in all, your comment is extremely out of context.

Look at his game by game QBR that season here.

Remember that Cam Cameron was fired Dec. 10th. I've heard plenty of people talk about how he was fired 'halfway through the season". That's just completely inaccurate. He was fired with 3 games left in the season, and the Ravens were (9-4), and Flacco had an 18-9 TD-INT ratio, 60% completions. Not all that shabby in reality. It wasn't even that bad of a divorce and Harbaugh had nothing but great things to say about Cam.

ETA: Also, there have been QB's in the NFL that have performed much better in the playoffs with the same offensive coordinator. Kaepernick is a good example, Tom Brady in his earlier years, Roethlisberger. So many factors can contribute to that performance. Flacco sucks now though, so now what? Just muddies the evidence against him.
