Some of us never heard of the new Gatorade product (Bolt 24) that they introduced last Summer. Burrow has gotten it featured on at least 3 major national TV sports shows in a couple days.

He could possibly make more from endorsements than from his rookie contract over the next few years.

His pitch on Dan Patrick’s show was well rehearsed

You're probably right. Particularly if Bolt takes a measurable spike in sales for February.

That dude burrow is going to make serious guap. Not just from playing ball and his contract, but he is so damn marketable. He is going to absolutely rack up on endorsement deals.

I doubt it,although his endorsement deals could be huge. CLean cut, well spoken, Heisman trophy winning, record setting QB will be pushing cars, shoes, drinks, and more if he desires. But, his rookie contract will be YUGE!

He was doing Radio Row so that Gatorade endorsement was probably temporary. He'll get endorsements though cause he's coming in with buzz.

Athletes with "household name recognition" make far more from endorsements than from sports contracts/winnings.

Here are the top-ten endorsement 2018 earnings (from Sports Illustrated) LINK:

1. ROGER FEDERER
$65 MILLION

2. LEBRON JAMES
$52 MILLION

3. CRISTIANO RONALDO
$47 MILLION

4. STEPHEN CURRY
$42 MILLION

5. TIGER WOODS
$42 MILLION

6. PHIL MICKELSON
$37 MILLION

7. RORY MCILROY
$34 MILLION

8. KEI NISHIKORI
$33 MILLION

9. KEVIN DURANT
$32 MILLION

10. USAIN BOLT & JORDAN SPIETH
$30 MILLION

Danica Patrick's endorsements are at 8 million yearly LINK, Michelle Wie's are at 15 million LINK

Fair point. But if Burrow moves the profit needle from his Bolt endorsement, he'll easily exceed his rookie contract earnings from Gatorade and other US marketing opportunities.

Sports drinks are a 9.5 Billion dollar business yearly in the US LINK

And sports drinks are small potatoes in advertising dollars - 10 companies spent over 2.5 Billion on advertising in 2018. (Comcast spent 6.18 Billion) LINK

Gatorade spent 100 million

Yeah and he is nowhere near those athletes level of fame globally yet. His endorsements will not be higher than his rookie contract. He could make some serious money from endorsements but it will not be higher than his contract.

That is your opinion. My opinion is that endorsements, etc. will very likely exceed his rookie contract over the next 4 years.

Burrow has the probably the best agency possible for endorsements - CAA. They can open any door. They represent hundreds of high profile clients including George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Jamie Foxx, Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, etc.

Aware of that.

But none of those athletes are rookies or in their early years. They are well established, household names, not only in their professional sport but also have crossover recognition. Plus the have all been around for a number of years.
Hopefully Joe will get there but you are showing the absolute top end earners.
