Burrow to wear #18 next year?

Is Burrow the logical choice to wear #18 next year, if he stays (which I think he should and will)? If not Burrow, who would be the next candidate? Delpit would also possibly be an option, but I see him more as the "playmaker" on the team.

What is this boards obsession with the number 18?
Why do you, non football player RizerJ, think he should wear it?
What have YOU seen from your time in the locker room, meeting room, dining room, etc that says Burrow should have it? What have you seen from anyone that makes them a potential candidate?
Oh, and you think Burrow should and will stay next year? Brilliant. Tell us more, professor.

Edit: My point was of course he is going to stay. Why would he leave early. Lots of people don't get sarcasm.

Considering we have all these threads about 2020 recruits on the recruiting page, and all of these new OC threads on this page, sounds like many are already thinking of the off-season!

Devin's gonna hold a press conference after the bowl, and surprisingly announce his return by ripping off his shirt to reveal a number 18 jersey!

O, standing beside him, will rip off his shirt just because...

And Hawthorne will be in the audience yelling "I don't believe it!"

Haven't changed your tampon today, I see...

Anywho....it was just a question about leadership, which, although Burrow struggles with his completion percentage, he does seem to have the leadership skills and character that has been associated with this number.

True, I am a non-player, but I would be glad to hear your expert opinion. This is why I asked the question in the first place.

The #18 and #7 is stale.....let’s admit it and move on.

I think it's great for the kids on the team and it makes for a great tradition for them. But, I will never understand why fans care what number any player is wearing. I care about them winning football games and not embarassing the university.

Why do people put so much emphasis on who wears 18?

He certainly tarnished it, if he did not kill it.
Orgeron bears some of the blame here for making this decision.

He is actually gonna wear 25, a SUPER DUPER honor combining both 18 and 7.
