Absolutely they should. If they can go start at a quality program. Don’t risk it.

he hadnt lost the job yet.

most QBs would stay and finish out the competition.

1. Most QBs Aren’t grad transfers
2. Most grad transfers aren’t grad transfers with 2 years left

Again my Brian tells me it’s smart not to risk it and put yourself in a significantly worse situation

It doesn’t just make up something like “most QBs would stay and finish out the competition.“

Unverified probably untrue.

Stats matter when they're proving his point.
Stats matter when context is fully considered.

Do you actually believe that Haskins would have had his same lofty OSU stat line if he were QB for LSU last season? With one month's practice, and with the same inexperienced WR's, in that 2018 LSU offense, and with the injuries and inexperience in the O-Line? And against an SEC West schedule?

Context matters.

It’s definitely not a bad look. It’s the smart move.

it's not a good look to bow out of a fair and straight up competition when havent lost the job.

it's almost like you've never heard a player get labeled," scared of competition "before.

it's only smart of your guaranteed a starting job at p5 program.

if Burrow had assurances that he would start at lsu and Meyers assured him he wouldnt block him from going to a big school then I agree its smart if he had lost the job.

please link all the QBs that have left in the middle of a qb battle where no starter has been named.

I'll wait since you think I made it up.

QBs dont leave in the middle of a qb battle when they havent lost the job. they leave after being told they arent the starter.

It’s jot a bad look to take a sure thing cause a 50/50 bet.

By fans. I’ve never heard of a guy get drafted because he wasn’t afraid to lose a position battle.

He’s a grad transfer Urban can’t block him.

AND it’s a smart move either way.
He transferred to a guaranteed starting job at a P5 school.

VS maybe being a starter at a P5 school or maybe riding the bench.

Absolutely smart move

what's the sure thing?

I said its smart if you're guaranteed a starting job.

you're using hindsight. you know he started at lsu.

just like you've never heard of a qb leaving in the middle of a real and fair qb battle.

you're using hindsight. I've already said its smart if he has a guarantee to start at lsu.

my stance is....

you dont hear about QBs leaving in the middle of a real qb battle.

yes its smart if he had assurances that he would start at lsu.

Who knows? If Burrow had stuck around for a couple more weeks maybe Haskins is the one that leaves and goes to LSU.

Haskins wouldn’t have played last year.

Neither JMac or Narcisse are P5 quality QBs (Narcisse not even JuCo). Brennan was the only real competition and he showed poorly in the ‘18 spring game. What isn’t a safer bet than Burrow to LSU?

Will you be a man and admit that from the first game to the last game in 2017 LSU predominantly ran two WR sets with one of those receivers running back and forth behind the QB who was under center?

How many top 25 defenses did they play?

We played more Top 25 defenses than they played top 70

There is no team on their schedule who comes close to them as far as talent goes.

If it wasn’t guaranteed it was absolutely a super safe bet.

We were about to be a trainwreck.
