So, you see Burrow going over:

Jake Fromm
Tua T.
KJ Costello
Justin Hebert
Jacob Eason
Shea Patterson
Filipe Franks
Nate Stanley

?

Currently he is projected as a 5th to 7th rounder @ the 12th overall pick.

If he has a really, really good year he could sneak it at number 5, but he isn't going ahead of Fromm, Hebert, Tua... maybe edges out Eason and Costello, but not as of right now.

Burrow will have an outstanding season in the Spread/RPO. Top-5 QB in a walk. TITTB

Would you call this Spread/RPO an offense unto itself? In other words you don’t consider RPOs plays you’re saying Spread/RPO is the offense like the West Coast offense, Erhardt-Perkins or Air Coryell?

Not that he isn't capable of this, but coming from you it just sounds like...

Last season your clown arse claimed Burrow was better than Haskins. Midway through the season Haskins was on a Heisman campaign meanwhile Burrow was struggling to consistently throw for over 200 yards. Yet you continued to make a fool of yourself. This is when I knew you were a mild functioning retard.

Oh the hypocrisy, You can't wait to have your I told you so moment, but will not admit how fricking wrong you were about Burrow being better than Haskins. I mean you flame this board every fricking day with that bullshite. Fast foward to now and you act as if that shite didn't happen or that you were wrong.

He’ll never take responsibility for any of these predictions. He’ll just try to crawfish and claim he didn’t say or mean what he said like he always does. It’s easy to make bold predictions when you’re not accountable to anything you say and it’s people like this guys bread and butter.

In the '19 season, Burrow will have 3500+ yards passing and 68%+ completions. 4000+ yards and 70%+ wouldn't surprise me.

Burrow was born and raised to run this type of offense.

Yes, Earl. Burrow was a top-5 QB in '18 (and still is)

100% correct! And I've been saying this since the '16 season.

You are aware that you were the numbskull that said "Burrow was a top-5 QB in '18 (and still is)", right? That's your quote, not mine.

I didn't say it, and I wouldn't say it. Because Burrow wasn't a top-5 QB during the 2018 season.

Maybe he'll be one in 2019, but he sure as hell wasn't a top-5 QB in 2018.

Yes indeed he was. But he was stuck in a second-rate scheme, and with inexperienced players all around him. AND, with next to no time to prepare for the season.

You are confusing stats with raw talent. Joe may improve his big-time skill-set marginally in the off-season, but his STATS will go thru the roof because of more experienced players around him, and a VASTLY improved scheme.

Yes. Yes, I know. YOU won't understand it until it is in your rear-view mirror.

O also agrees with me that it was a schematic issue because he hired a coach to implement the offense that Ensminger wanted from the beginning.
quote:

think we have to put three and four receivers on the field," Ensminger said. "I think we have to be an (run-pass option) team. I think we have to be a more fastball team. I think we have to go no huddle. That's the direction that we're going.

quote:

We can be in three-wide and everything else and still run the football," Ensminger said. "You have to be able to do it all with everything. You can be in three-wide but you still better be able to be physical and run the football and play-action off it and RPO and hit that guy right there and still throw the ball deep.

All of these quotes are from his introductory press conference 15 months ago. Nothing has changed, genius. It’s the offense he always wanted to run but didn’t have the personnel to in 2018.

LSU's Ensminger explains his offensive philosophy; McMahon hired as special teams coach

When did the “last regime” have to deal with this?

quote:

Quarterback
Returning: Junior Justin McMillan, sophomore Myles Brennan, redshirt freshman Lowell Narcisse
Incoming: Walk-on Andre Sale
Outlook: Perhaps the biggest question mark heading into 2018 is what kind of play LSU will get out of the quarterback spot. Ensminger, a former LSU quarterback, will have to shape his offense around whichever quarterback wins the battle – Myles Brennan, a pocket passer, or Lowell Narcisse/Justin McMillan, running quarterbacks. “We could (use two guys), it could happen," Ed Orgeron said about the quarterback battle. "I would like one to be the starter. Obviously if Myles is the starter, there won't be a lot of quarterback runs. It'll be stuff conducive to what he can do. If Lowell is the starter - or Justin, we'll give him a chance - it'll be the same passing game, it'll just be more quarterback runs."

quote:

Running back
Returning: Senior Nick Brossette, sophomore Clyde Edwards-Helaire, junior Lanard Fournette
Incoming: Freshman Chris Curry, freshman Tae Provens
Outlook: While quarterback may have the biggest question mark, LSU still has the most to replace at the running back position. Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams combined for 2,071 yards and 20 touchdowns and 41 receptions for 455 yards and two touchdowns in 2017. Brossette, Edwards-Helaire and Fournette combined for 29 carries for 134 yards (Brossette led the way with 19 carries for 96 yards) and three receptions for 46 yards – all of those receptions came from Edwards-Helaire. Brossette has rushed 46 times for 307 yards in his LSU career and figures to be a focal point of the offense next season. Brossette had plenty of time to be the feature back at University Lab in high school where he rushed for 163 touchdowns in his five-year high school career. He holds the Louisiana state record with 141 during his high school years as 22 of his rushing touchdowns came as an eighth grader. He rushed for 9,237 yards in his high school career and rushed for 2,000 yards or more three times and had 1,024 as an eighth grader. Edwards-Helaire can be a great change of pace back and excels as a receiver despite his stature. Those two, along with Fournette, will be joined by two different backs in Curry and Provens. Curry is 5-11, 200 pounds and is a more physical back who can still outrun defenders while Provens, at 6-2, 194 pounds, can provide help in the receiving and return games.

quote:

Wide receiver
Returning: Junior Derrick Dillon, junior Stephen Sullivan, junior Dee Anderson, junior Drake Davis, sophomore Justin Jefferson, sophomore Racey McMath, sophomore Mannie Netherly
Incoming: Junior transfer Jonathan Giles, freshman Terrace Marshall, freshman Jaray Jenkins, freshman Kenan Jones
Outlook: While quarterback may have the biggest question mark and LSU may have the most to replace at the running back position… OK, you get it by now. LSU has a lot of questions to answer on the offensive side heading into next season. According to Ensminger, he feels like the wide receiver group is going to be the strength of the offense next season and part of that lies not in what was on the field in 2017, but who was working with the group instead. No, not talking about new passing game coordinator Jerry Sullivan. Ensminger and Orgeron are excited about the potential of Texas Tech transfer Jonathan Giles who will be eligible in 2018. Giles had 69 receptions for 1,158 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2016 before transferring to LSU. Orgeron said the team “couldn’t cover” Giles in camp. His presence will be much needed as LSU’s top two returning wide receivers in production are Dillon (14 receptions for 125 yards) and Sullivan (11 receptions for 219 yards). LSU will also get major help at the position with the addition of five-star wide receiver Terrace Marshall, considered by some to be the top receiver in the country. Marshall was recruited by Ensminger and will be in the Tigers plans going forward. LSU is also in the mix for five-star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase from Rummel who remains uncommitted.

quote:

Tight end / Fullback
Returning: TE: Senior Foster Moreau, senior Jacory Washington, sophomore Jamal Pettigrew, redshirt freshman Aaron Moffitt; FB/H-Back: Senior David Ducre, sophomore Tory Carter
Incoming: TE: Sophomore transfer Thaddeus Moss, freshman Zach Sheffer
Outlook: Finally, here’s a position with some stability coming back. Moreau is LSU’s leading returning receiver with 24 receptions for 278 yards and three touchdowns in 2017. The group does lose the leadership of J.D. Moore at fullback but that just means more of Tory Carter who had six receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. The tight end position will get a boost with the inclusion of former N.C. State tight end Thaddeus Moss, the son of former NFL great Randy Moss. With Ensminger looking to go with three and four wide receivers on the field at a time, the use for a traditional fullback might not be there but Carter and Ducre have both shown the ability to make an impact in the passing game.

quote:

Offensive line
Returning: Senior Garrett Brumfield, junior Adrian Magee, junior Donavaughn Campbell, sophomore Lloyd Cushenberry, sophomore Austin Deculus, sophomore Saahdiq Charles, sophomore Ed Ingram, sophomore Jakori Savage
Incoming: Junior college transfer tackle Badara Traore, junior college transfer guard Damien Lewis, freshman center Cole Smih, freshman tackle Cameron Wire
Outlook: This group knew it was going to lose left tackle K.J. Malone to graduation and got a glimpse of what could be the future when Saahdiq Charles stepped in and started in the final seven games. Charles also had a start at right tackle and right guard. However, the offensive line was dealt two blows when center Will Clapp and right tackle Toby Weathersby each declared for the 2018 NFL Draft. Clapp’s replacement is up in the air although Lloyd Cushenberry is in the driver’s seat to win that job. Weathersby could be replaced by Charles or the Tigers could opt to give that side to junior college transfer Badara Traore, rated as the top junior college offensive tackle in the country. Garrett Brumfield’s return gives the Tigers a veteran presence along the line. Brumfield started all 13 games at left guard in 2017. Ed Ingram had 12 starts at right guard as a true freshman. This group will also have a new position coach in 2018 as James Cregg, who was with the Los Angeles Chargers last season, replaced Jeff Grimes, who left LSU to become the new offensive coordinator at BYU.

Don’t even try to pretend any team in LSU’s recent history has had to deal with this little experience.

The addition of Joe Brady and the way him and Steve Ensminger are working is fantastic,” Orgeron noted before spring practice began. “This is a new offense from last year. You’re going to see it. We spread the ball around in different formations. I thought they were on fire today.”

Your reading comprehension is so incredibly poor. He didn’t have the personnel to run the offense that he stated that he wanted to run back in January of 2018.
