I cannot think of a game with only two, drops. Maybe the bowl, game. Having said that. If the receiver got two hands on it and did not catch the ball it is a drop in my book... I doubt that is how the stat people record it.

Only a fool cant understand the chart isnt drop rate

His drop rate was 8.8%, not 25%. 25% was percentage of drops in his incompletions

Buckeye Jeaux is to Joe Burrow what Tiger Ree is to Ed Orgeron.

That didn't seem to be your stance back on January 5th.

We were specifically discussing the offensive line.

I know precisely what it is.

Now look at his incompletions, look at the drops and you'll figure out why its ridiculous.

Yes. I misread the chart title. We all figured that out a few minutes after I posted.

That doesn't change the fact that CFB Film Room is a make-believe source for college football stats.

It makes up it's own rules and uses anonymous volunteer posters to log film. Here's CFB's statement on why their stats don't match anyone else's:

Direct quote from CFB's FAQ section:
quote:

Q. Why are your stats wrong?
A. Yes, we know our stats don’t match up with the numbers you’re seeing elsewhere. There are a number of reasons for this.
Most frequently, especially with common statistics such as rushing and passing yards, it’s because we believe the NCAA’s policy for recording official statistics is archaic, at best, and often just flat out illogical."

CFB is completely out of step with all professional football statisticians.

The NCAA doesn't publish one. Programs have them in-house, but don't make them public.

You just said today that "I can see that there were more than one issue" concerning the quarterback, but back on the 5th all you could see was that it was the S&C coaches fault when we were talking about the offensive line?

In a very twisted way, yes.

How does attacking Burrow solidify your position that the problem was scheme?

You notice how it's everyone's fault but E and O.

You are trying to discuss something with a guy who claimed Troy was more talented than LSU.

Thanks! I consider that a complement. Ree is a true fan of the program. And his posts are always interesting.

You're just paranoid, as usual. I've been clear as to what needs to be fixed and my expectations. All you want is to fire everyone.

I mean If there are issues everywhere I dont See what where doing to get better scheme wise.

E is still E.

Some people think his offense is still a handicap and throwing talent at it will help but only so much.

When did I attack Burrow? I think he had a good season. Not as good as Buckeye Jeaux thinks, but it was a good season for the young man.

He had some good games, he had some poor games, he had a couple of really good games. That's my opinion of it.

Yeah, I've noticed that. It's been that way from the get-go.

Are you suggesting that they weren't?

There's no way an o led team would lose to a team that was less talented.

You're not paid for your opinion on football, so forgive me if I lack confidence. We all have our very amateur opinions.

I'm shocked to see you say this. Usually you act like you know so much more than the rest of us.

Good for you Roger. You're growing up right before our eyes.
