I hear ya, but we lost 3 games this year and the words "Great" and "Year" were used together to describe this past season

3 loses takes you farther some years than others. I want To say USC was #3 in 2016 with 3 loses, for some reason.

But realistically 3 loses isn’t going to get us to our goal.

I mean How experienced do you think the stats people are? Like the NFL doesn’t even have full time refs you think their stats keepers are more than just guys?

Also you’re getting your NFL #s from where? Not NFL.com or even ESPN.

I dont see anyone "crowning" coach O and his staff but just admitting that they have done a very commedable job so far and that the program is back on track and that things look promising for the programs return back into a team in the mix for the playoffs.

Very experienced. Quality guys are on waiting lists for years before they get into a booth for scorekeeping. And GA's do most of the program's game stat logging. If their stats aren't crisp, they catch shite from the coaches and the ballplayers. A lot rides on those numbers. And a GA's future depends alot on how he handles his game film stat duties.

A program keeps tabs on their score keepers. If their numbers are consistently at odds with the team's stats, that gets exposed fast.

And as for refs, they make $800 minimum per game, and the on-field guys make $3000 per game in Power 5 conferences.

Sorry, but CFB is a bunch of unpaid dudes expressing their opinion in numbers. A lot like Tiger Rant.

And ESPN and NFL.com aren't even flawless - but they're light years better than CFB.

Orgeron is following his own blueprint, but you are correct that there are many similarites there with the Dabo situation in that neither were ever OC's and rely on coordinators for that and that neithers fan base were thrilled with the hire and had many critics their first few years

Seven defeats in two years doesn't look like any good track I know of to the CFP. Whether you want to face it or not, the defeats to Alabama, Florida, and Texas A&M are not a track to the CFP.

I agree that we arent there yet, just that we are getting back to being in the mix again. At least we finished the season strong and look to be building back up to that kind of level

Also just saying that MOST PEOPLE see us as being back on track and going in the right direction, wasnt talking about the nega fans who will never see.anything good that is happening as long as Orgeron is here.

Another profound post by that bastion of objectivity.

A new year's bowl win

10 & 3

#4 in recruiting

2020 going to be epic

Yep I see nothing to be excited about.

You, sammy and the other here can choose to wallow in the sloppy pigpen of negativity while the rest of us enjoy the resurgence of LSU as a top team in the country.

I would Like to be more than the best 3 loss team.

Pretty much every loss after the first one knocks you down a tier.

We’re not top tier.

It would be nice to be top tier

We all would Sammy. We all do and it's coming. Coach O and company almost did it with a fundamentally flawed team this year. Just think with more pieces in place.

We almost almost got considered for the CFP.

We still were miles from Clemson and Alabama.

Ya, no other coach gets this kind of excuse factory. Just imagine when it's coach O's 4th year - yea that's next year. Put up or shut up.

No LSU came very close to being a one loss team. The loss to Bama was the only sure enough arse whipping. Florida's speed off the edge was too much and the aTm game could've gone either way.

LSU was close to being 11 & 1 with a mash unit offensive line. Running back not at a level LSU is used to. No to very little experience at wide receiver, or QB.

Yet all you can do is criticize. This season is the put up or shut up season. 11 & 1 seems doable. A playoff berth. I'm excited and God willing I'll be here to see it all unfold.

Blah blah.

4/5 starters the last 8 games of the season.

Including all 3 loses.

The Mash Unit excuse is lame.

Not an excuse. Like I said. I can't make you be a positive person. That's on you. If you'd rather concentrate on negativity you do you.

If you did not meet an objective, and you're reasoning for it suggests that it was out of your control or that you could not have overcome that and obtained your objective, that's a freaking excuse.

I didn't not meet the objective. I saw people playing out of position or not ready to play the position being put into position out of necessity. That's my take on it.

I had nothing to do with the product on the field so therefore it's not an excuse. It's what I saw.

You choose to see whatever you want. We all already know what you see. Anything that paints coach O and E in a bad light is what you see.

We have had lots of bowl wins. They are all nice.

So? We have won ten or more games eight times in the last 13 years.

LSU was number two in recruiting in 2014. how did that work out for us>

No one saying LSU did bad in 2018. They did good and you can be excited as you want, but five and three in the SEC is nothing for LSU football to be excited about. If you don't know that, you don't know LSU football.
