Funny he didn't mention OSU

I thought he mentioned rooting for the Cowboys with the other teams he roots for. I'm assuming he means OSU, and not Dallas. I may be wrong.

Interview this quickly tells me he will be coaching next year. Many have said he won't, but he all but said he will.

Give him the AD job today.

That actually would be poetic justice - the board calls Joe in and says, "Hey, Joe? Have a seat. Great job on handling the Les Miles situation this weekend. We were concerned about the problems last year and, frankly, we weren't completely satisfied with the way you handled that. And, we've come to a decision. We've decided to go in another direction. This doesn't have to be difficult."

And his successor is Les Miles.

The only jobs I see being offered to Les will be train wrecks, I don't think he has it in him to do a complete rebuild.

again....if we're talking who is the better coach, Saban is , was, and always will be a better coach than Les. But yes Miles was the most successful coach we have had here.

And again, Saban here is not the same as the Saban that is at Bama.

Skip Bertman was a great coach but that didn't translate into being a good AD so no to the AD position.

the difference between saban here and the saban at alabama is him sticking around long enough to see the fruits of his labor.

I really hate that Miles's tenure at LSU ended the way it did. I support the decision, but I'm sorry that for whatever reason, Miles lost his edge and his willingness to be the Coach he was the first few years at LSU. Those were some fun damn games.

I wish there was a way to keep Miles around the program somehow in a non-coaching position, but I think that ship has sailed.

Best of Luck to you, Coach! Thank you for the memories and laughs!

This is the part where you know people like you are literally clueless. The guy has an economics degree from a prestigious academic university...but yeah, he is a dumbasses. damn, he also made more in one year than you will make in your lifetime.

No. He is way more successful at Bama than he was here. It's not even remotely comparable.

At LSU:

Year 1 8-4
Year 2 10-3 SEC Champ and Sugar Bowl
Year 3 8-5
Year 4 12-1 BCS Champ
Year 5 9-3 and peace out with a shitty bowl loss

At Bama:

Year 1 7-6, rebuilding a complete dumpster fire
Year 2 12-2, SEC West Champ, lost in Sugar Bowl
Year 3 14-0 BCS Champ
Year 4 10-3.
Year 5 12-1, BCS Champ

There is no comparing that.

Les Miles is all class. It was hard to listen to him on the Dan Patrick show just now. I agreed 100% with the decision to move on but that doesn't mean that moving on will be easy.

When Dan asked him what he'd be up to this coming Saturday he replied, "I'll be rooting for the LSU Tigers."

We may hire a better football coach and that's what matters, but we won't hire a better man. Thanks Lester for all the memories.

Don't like Pollack, but IMO, he is correct here. The TAF have to be all in on Herman. He is the guy. And LSU is for certain a top 5 program in CFB.

I get what you're trying to say, but you're wrong. Here's what I edited in that you didn't see:
