And as for RPI - I say don't get bogged down in that, just win baby!

You dont get it. ULL's rpi drops every weekend just for playing in a terrible conference. I really hope this game is cancelled.

FWIW Bugg will throw 2 innings max.

Not to start you at 2nd base.....
ETA: Or anywhere else on the infield.

In that case, I can still assure you it'll be a net increase if we beat Alcorn and win the weekend.

Alcorn State 8-36... Geez it takes skill to be that bad at baseball

And we've already played two teams with worse RPIs than them

Hitting against poor pitching can be a negative. I rather they didn't face really lower level throwers.

I've seen the photo of the results of your descending play at 2nd.

Actually it's exactly my point: the experience of a freshman with a lot of potential getting his first start and another game for our hitters to keep regaining their confidence is more than worth a decrease in RPI that will be erased by Monday.

so dropping to 17 then rising to 13 after the weekend when we could have stayed at 15 and risen to 10 or 11.

but yeah lets get bugg a 2 innings start against one of the worst team in america. Thats SUPER important.

It's embarrassing that LSU baseball fans hope the players do not get to play a game. The next thing we'll see is fans bitching about having to play Florida in football every season....

The bottom line is THIS. We should want the Tigers to play and win at every opportunity.

Bout time this is happening. I could see him going 3 innings or 1 solid round through the lineup and throw it to the bullpen.

ETA: Hoping he will eventually be the Sunday starter

I wouldn't mind a moratorium on scheduling multiple SWAC teams.
