Man you need to work on your reading comprehension. That was comparing UW to Iowa.

Also if you have to argue you will be fine because of the result of a double digit loss .... that tells us a lot.

Not big on nuance are you? But you are right we have never played a team with NFL talent before and we will be shocked, SHOCKED I tell you at the raw speed of LSU.

Shocked or not, you haven't beat shite out of your conference in years. Period.

In the last 3 years in conference, you lost to any remotely decent team (unless it was a rematch game where you happen to win a few). Wait, sorry you beat Northwestern last year... I stand corrected

I respect the Wisconsin team a lot and I enjoy watching your running backs as they are always legit.

But, what about the running backs we've faced/are facing here in the SEC who are even better than Gordon/Clement????

I mean, do we not face Todd Gurley of Georgia & T.J. Yeldon of Alabama??? And have we not faced running backs and running back tandems even better???

We see GREAT backs year in and year out here in the SEC, so it's pointless to go on and on about how "great" your running backs are. We can see and certainly respect Gordon & Clement, but they're not the first running back duo to pose a challenge to the LSU defense!!!!!

The game will play out on the field, but please stop with the whole "We have Gods for running backs" talk!!!!!

SMH, SMH, SMH...

"The two guys we return averaged 7.8 (Gordon) and 8.2 (Clement) YPC."

Dang. That's stout!

"The mental toughness and physical nature of the teams are similar but the talent differential at the skill positions is pretty lopsided in the Badgers favor."

Hey, I think the Wisky poster was referring to IOWA's skill players, not ours.

To play devils advocate, LSU has faced Gurley once in his career. He was injured in the second quarter, but to that point, had 73 yards on just nine carries. In that same year, which happens to be the most recent, Yeldon ran for 133 yards and two touchdowns.

And yes, to agree with you those backs were certainly having/had good games against us....no one is or will deny that......our defense was less than stellar last year, and to be quite honest, no one knows what the hell they will look like this year......

But to pretend like Wisconsin is presenting some sort of "out-of-this-world" challenge to LSU with Gordon & Clement is to be quite honestly, RETARDED!!!!......

I kind of expect LSU to win but it will be in a dogfight. You are not going to be able to line up and just run circles around us.

All of your analysis won't change the outcome. It's pretty simple - LSU has much better athletes and will pound your team into submission. The game won't be close.

Wisconsin's offense does NOT present any new challenges to LSU.....PERIOD!!!

Alabama runs the ball almost as equally as good as Wisconsin (IN THE SEC need I remind you) and we face them EVERY year!!!!!

So, I really need someone from the Wisconsin side to explain why is it you guys feel like LSU is wet behind the ears when it comes to defending the run when EVERY team in the SEC does it and does it well???????????

. You are not going to be able to line up and just run circles around us.

Is #31 LSU's middle linebacker? If so, Wisconsin's offensive line will absolutely plow through the middle.

They certainly aren't new challenges. You're right. But what Wisconsin is good at (size, power, physicality, strength) does not play well into LSU's favor. From what I gather, LSU is a athletic and speedy defense. Wisconsin will get their yards and touchdowns. These long drives composed of power rushing can eat up the clock and really wear down a team.

I've noticed a trend among the Badger fans. They're thoughtful. This is clearly not the fan base of a rival SEC school. Maybe I'm being ancillary with my post, but dang it, you guys are hard to hate! Besides, I've got no beef with the Big-10. I just want LSU to win this game.

2013 Starter at Wisc.
Att 206 yards 1609 avg 7.8 long 80 tds 12 vs. Big 10

2013 2nd team at LSU
Att 86 yards 626 avg 7.3 long 65 tds 8 vs. SEC

In terms of the Wisconsins strength(running game), there is nothing Wisconsin fans can say that makes me feel nervous about our opening game. We are more talented on both sides of the ball. Game starts off tight but opens up in third quarter.

Wisconsin folks are work hard, play hard. A bit of East Coast NY/NJ mixed in with some liberal Berkely type academics mixed in with some conservative country boys from the Northwoods of 'Sconnie.

It is a shame that this isn't a home and home. But your traveling fans will get to see the next best thing at Lambeau.Wish more UW fans were going to Houston to represent, but I understand the circumstances.

This kind of stuff is done in fun.

If you don't want to have fun or see the world 1/2 empty - stay home and watch the game with Ralph.

Okay, so LSU is athletic and speedy year and year out!!!! And yet, we managed to compete and defeat the likes of other "large, powerful, physical, strength-based" teams every single year!

So again, I'm having a hard-time understanding your logic when this has been the LSU standard (being speedy and athletic) for the last decade!!!!!! Yet, we're consistently dominate.....

Nothing Wisconsin presents is any different than what Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, South Carolina, etc. presents (except in the SEC there are faster/slightly more athletic athletes)..........

run the ball, run the ball, run the ball....is NOT a NEW concept here in the SEC!!!!

So please, as much as we respect Gordon & Clement, stop with the "...LSU has never seen a running game like this..." crap!!!!!

How did Michigan fare against Bama's rush attack? Oh yeah, now STFU and prepare to watch another SEC team go heels on the B1G

Are they? I'm sure you didn't think much of JJ Watt in college huh?

All I'm saying is Wisconsin plays a different style than most of the SEC. The most comparable would be Alabama and Arkansas...two teams that have had some success against LSU.
