He dances around too much, but that’s the opposite of lack of effort. Lack of effort would be not getting open or running out of bounds immediately

this. He probably scored on many occasions in HS juking subpar defenders. He is learning that it doesn't work at this level

He's a long strider with limited lateral quickness. I don't see it as lack of effort. He's also a true FR and needs refinement. He's used to just being taller than the defender.
