That was coming off injury for one and the other was a runner. The third was the guy that played while Coan was hurt

In 2010 Crist had knee injury that knocked him out for the season, so Rees played the rest.
In 2011 Crist won the QB competition in the fall (you gotta realize Crist wasn't bad in 2010 and Rees was only a freshman and didn't ball out), but after a bad first half in game one where he went 7-15 for 95 with an int and a 0-16 score, Kelly pit Rees in the 2nd half and he threw it 34 times for 296 2 TDs and 2 int. They lost 23-20, but he made his mark. He was named the starter after that.
In 2015 Malik Zaire was the starter the first 2 games and fractured his foot and was out for the season. Kizer played the rest of the season.
In 2016 Kelly was doing something similar to what Saban did with Jalen Hurts and Blake Barnett. Their play on the field in game one decided the starter. In both cases, one QB was CLEARLY better than the other. Kelly might do this vs Florida St.
In 2017 Winbush was the starter from jump. He got hurt after a huge win and Book started a game. He only got replaced in the bowl game vs LSU.
In 2018 he was again the started but played horrible the first 3 games, that's when Book became the starter the rest of the season and only missed a game because he was injured.
In reality the only TRUE "QB controversy", was the 2016 game one, 2011 game, and the 2012 season. The two game ones' controversy was over after that game. In those 2 years, he saw 2 capable guys in practice.

Which QB do we have that can run away from the lack of an OL that Orgeron left us with?
