Idk about this. LSU fans are extremely ungrateful as well

I think he realizes why we like to play night games. I think he recognized his mistakes against Tennessee and letting the crowd get out of it. It was his first time ever beating Saban. If he gets Saban 2 more times and wins both then he will likely finishing with a winning record against arguably the greatest college football coach ever.
He realized his far the team’s come in such a short time. I think the band hitting the notes right behind him added a little more to the moment and took him to full on emotion and happiness.

Well the fan part may be questionable, but bama fans want saban to retire after losses to 10RC (hated rival) and LSU (hated non rival that they always look down their nose at, even when its bloody).
LSU fans came after CEO after back to back .500 seasons directly after the greatest, most prolific season ever. HUGE difference.
The SEC was happy to see CNS go to the nfl. Bama got him by throwing the bank at him.

Sure it has a ton to do with LSU. Given. But it’s more than that. His big games at ND would be beating a Michigan or Penn State. Here, in the SEC and not even finished his first year, he’s run the SEC gauntlet.
Week in, week out, he’s playing schools like Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, State. He just played Bama, and beat them. Bama and the SEC win national championships. Michigan and Penn state don’t.
The man is finally playing in the bigs. He’s emotionally and mentally drained. That game last night was a milestone for his career. And LSU gave him that opportunity. Just like it gave Nick Saban that same chance coming from Mich State. Not many places can give you the chance for a national championship. But LSU is definitely one. And. You never forget the first person/school that gave you that chance to shine.

Something I saw was his realization that he had given something back to those who put their faith in him to bring the LSU Program back into prominence.
Similar in tone/emotion to #9 Jeaux thanking those who trusted him to run the team - pretty much sight unseen - every time he got an award.

Have heard Florida with Tebow crying after will not be topped. Urban Meyer said his pant legs were vibrating from the noise that game. Holly Rowe was in front of student section last night and joked that her bones were rattling or something to that effect. She sounded sincere when she gasped the noise was very impressive (she was having to yell). While Fowler and Kirbstreit Will ham it up a little at times, they really did seem shocked, and I’ll say excited as fans of the sport, when we went for two in overtime. Overall - awesome game, even on TV

Louisiana gets shite on (mostly by us) and rightfully so in many regards, crime, education, corruption, brain drain etc.
But this place is magical. Our people, our joy of life. Theres nowhere else like it.
We take our football seriously but don't take ourselves too seriously either, and I think that's a breath of fresh air for coaches.

I spoke with several folks that left because they couldn’t handle the noise.
Mostly non-LSU fans though.

It was electric the whole game! My eyes were vibrating in the fourth quarter!

The passion. It’s just different down here.
To be real though football is just king here. An atmosphere like that just engulfs you and makes you a lifelong fan. That win sold him on LSU for life just like we all had that one game and it’s apparent from the postgame interview and conference.
