Let’s not act like the UCLA secondary was amazing.

Max was confused badly by the blitz packages and Peetz did not do anything to adjust to it.

Young QB? Max and Myles have the same amount of starts for LSU in their careers. This “veteran” narrative is so tired and delusional

The rant is lost. Max makes a few plays (because our OL sucked last year) and everyone thought he was better at game management and playing qb, than a 4 year top tier guy would be (brennan)
Brennan was and IS the starter the 2st day he can play, period!

Mac is 'alright"....but just needed more time to develop

With that OL, I doubt it would make a difference

I agree but Myles was obv the guy before he got hurt.

Hate it for him and the team.
I thought everybody was happy about the hire from ARK? No?

With our offensive line we don’t have time to run anything deep.

This is simply not correct.

A QB doesn't have to wait till a WR is already 30 yards down field to throw deep.

He can let it fly with air under it so the WR can run to it.

That's actually the better way to do it, because once the WR is behind the DB he should stay in that position running all out to get to the ball.

One of the problems, in my opinion, was the tight, bunch formations. Just like early in the championship game against Clemson, it was hard for Burrow and the oline to decipher who was coming because so many people are close to the LOS. When they ran more spread out formations, they had more success.

Brennan would’ve won that game

There was literally no time for a deep route to develop. The O line was so horrible it won’t matter what QB they try and put out there. Max stood in there and made some throws while getting absolutely smoked. Everyone knows Brennan can make more throws but he won’t survive with this line.

Re-watch the game- Max was certainly not horrible!! A couple of off throws and one unthinkable play, but considering the pass rush & dropped passes, he had an ok game. JB is gone, you are not going to see that type of QB play, especially with no run game!

Very hard to hit deep shots if you can’t block and are under pressure all night.

All of our issues go back to the fact that we can’t run the ball and we can’t stop the run. As much as football changes, one thing remains true. The games are won in the trenches.

Oh so you mean the first 3 games of last year, where Brennan hung up 40 pt’s?

There was no time last year for the first 3 games and look at what happened… we pushed the ball deep down the field.

That’s the thing, Max’s mobility is huge given how shite the OL is

But Brennan brings the downfield vertical threat that made the “Joe Brady offense” so formidable

And went .500. Doesn’t matter what QB you put in the game if the rest of the play is like this.
