when JJ was in the games the options were run or run or run. I can see why we should freak out. His ability to loop around and cut off all the room his option back could have can never be duplicated.
You mean to say you're not suppose to wait until you get all the way to the sideline before you pitch the ball?

Has any fan base ever freaked out this much and whined and cried and blamed the cops, media, Marines, FBI, victims etc etc over a player with similar credentials? This is not losing Cecil Collins. This is not losing Greg Hill. This is not even losing Larry Foster. This is not losing Robert Tyler! This is not losing Ryan Perriloux. This is losing Troy Giddens.
Grow up for once, posi-tigers.
when keepin it real, really is real.

For every thread "freaking out" over losing JJ, I've seen about 20 threads saying Lee will throw for 3000+ yards and 25+ TDs
you can't count too well

Don't forget JJ's 8 fumbles.

This doesn't make any sense. You do realize that Lee has played quarterback for us, right?
And do you realize that the offense led by Lee was still better than the one led by JJ?

How do you figure this?
Lee's passing stats last year were better than JJ's last season absent the Cotton Bowl.
Actually we will throw more with Lee in the game, because JJ runs so many QB draws and options that will mostly have to be taken out of the play book for JL.
So you are completely wrong. There will be more of a run/throw balance with Lee than with JJ.
We'll be more limited in our offensive packages. We don't have a FB either, which really hurts us with Lee being the guy. Our strength is running, but Lee has never shown me much passing the ball that would lead me to believe that teams will respect that aspect of his game. I hope I'm wrong.

LEE as a freshman averaged 30.9 points per game with total offense ranked 30th in the country.
Would you like me to pull up JJ's stats?

Didn't you already post this and I already responded?

thanks for this thread...it shows the real reason why some were so adamant about wanting JJ arrested and/or kicked of the team

Turnover margin as a relation to snaps taken is pretty damn important.
Number of turnovers in 2008: 20
Number of turnovers in 2010: 24

Actually we could be worse. We could turn the ball over more, which is almost worse than anything
oh turning it over a lot like Lee did as a freshman when we had the worst defense in the NCAA and had to score 40 points a game to win? Yeah, that will play out exactly as it did then.

And stop talking about the fricking fight. It has nothing to do with that. You want to make this some sort of "I support a criminal" bull shite
no, actually I was talking about football only and the posi-tigers besides yourself turned this into "we werent crying about football, we were crying because we truly care for this young sweet man named JJ."

I would rather take our lumps with Mett at this point. But I'll support Lee just as adamantly. Every poster on this thread was unable, however, to do the same with JJ.

Wait so it was ok to turn it over because the defense was poor? That helped us? Do you really think we took so many chances with Lee because of that? Get real.

I don't even know what the hell you're talking about.

Yeah we'll be more two-dimensional with Lee. Yay.
ftfy. Lee will allow us to get the ball in the hands of playmakers, rather than seeing offensive talent wither on the vine.

The defense in 2008 was the worst defense in a long time at lsu, while last year, the defense was ranked 12th in total d in the country. HUGE difference.
